Mika Nakashima Is Playing Singapore on 17 July 2026

The voice of Nana Osaki. The singer of Darling in the FranXX‘s unforgettable opening theme. Mika Nakashima is bringing her Asia Tour 2026 to Singapore, and she plays The Star Theatre on 17 July 2026. If you’ve been sleeping on this, now is the time to act — tickets are already on sale via SISTIC.

Who Is Mika Nakashima?

If you’ve spent any time in the anime world over the past two decades, you’ve already heard Mika Nakashima — you may just not have known her name. Born in Kyoto in 1983, she debuted as a singer in 2002 and quickly became one of Japan’s most recognisable voices.

For Singapore fans, two songs likely stand out most. The first is “KISS OF DEATH” (produced by HYDE), the electrifying opening theme for Darling in the FranXX (2018, A-1 Pictures / TRIGGER), which has racked up over 45 million streams on YouTube alone. The second is her role as Nana Osaki in the beloved 2006 anime series NANA — she not only voiced the punk-rock icon but performed in character as the frontwoman of fictional band BLAST, delivering songs like “GLAMOROUS SKY” that became inseparable from the show’s identity.

Outside of anime, she is perhaps best known for “Yuki no Hana” (2003), her debut winter ballad that sold millions and spawned hit covers across Hong Kong, China, South Korea, and Singapore.

What to Expect at The Star Theatre

The Singapore date marks a significant milestone: Mika Nakashima is celebrating her 25th debut anniversary on this tour, and the production reflects that. Audiences can expect a full band backed by live string arrangements, covering her iconic classics alongside more recent works. The set runs approximately 120 minutes and will be performed in Japanese.

The tour has already made stops across Asia — Bangkok, Taipei, and Kuala Lumpur came earlier in the year — before finishing in Osaka and Tokyo. Singapore is part of the final international leg, and the SISTIC listing confirms it is an intimate, high-production show.

Tickets and How to Book

Tickets are available now through SISTIC (online or +65 6636 0055). Pricing runs from S$128 to S$328, depending on seating category. The concert is presented by Red Spade Entertainment.

  • Date: Friday, 17 July 2026
  • Time: 8:00 PM (doors 6:30 PM)
  • Venue: The Star Theatre, The Star Performing Arts Centre, 1 Vista Exchange Green, Singapore 138617
  • Tickets: S$128 – S$328 via SISTIC

Singapore has always had a deep connection to Japanese pop and anime culture, and Mika Nakashima is one of those artists whose voice is woven into that history. Adventures of Elliot: Millennium Tales Out Now — SGD79.90 on PS5 and Switch 2

Square Enix’s newest HD-2D release has landed: The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales launched on 18 June across Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Singapore players can grab it on PS5 from the PlayStation Store Singapore at SGD79.90 for the standard edition, or SGD92.90 for the Digital Deluxe.

The HD-2D Action RPG Debut from the Octopath Traveler Team

The Adventures of Elliot comes from the Square Enix development team behind Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default — and it marks their first action RPG, applying the beloved HD-2D art style to real-time combat for the first time. As Nintendo Life reviewer George Yang described it, the combat “works surprisingly well, feeling like a mix between Zelda: A Link to the Past and Ys Origins” — an encouraging debut for a team new to action gameplay.

You play as Elliot, an adventurer charged with a thousand-year mission alongside his fairy companion Faie. The game spans four distinct ages of a continent’s history, connected through the Doorway of Time artifact — meaning you might explore a medieval kingdom one moment and step into an ancient civilisation’s ruins the next. The tagline is “Hope is Timeless,” and it fits.

Two-Player Co-Op and Switch 2 Performance

A second player can take direct control of Faie in a co-op mode — giving the fairy real agency in battles rather than leaving her on autopilot. It is a smart design choice that makes Elliot a solid couch co-op pick on Switch 2.

Nintendo Life’s review landed at 8/10, praising the emotional story, varied combat, and rewarding exploration across time periods. Minor complaints included some performance hiccups on Switch 2 — load times and menu lag — along with imprecise platforming. Neither of these spoils the overall experience, which the reviewer described as “an emotional journey through space and time.”

Editions and Collector’s Set

Two digital editions are on sale now:

  • Standard Edition — SGD79.90
  • Digital Deluxe Edition — SGD92.90

A physical Collector’s Edition is also available, bundling the game, original soundtrack, and a Faie desk-clock statue — the kind of premium set collectors on this side of the world tend to import quickly. Local retail availability is to be confirmed; check official Square Enix channels for shipping details to Singapore.

Last words

The team that made Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default stepping into action-RPG territory with their HD-2D formula is a genuinely exciting moment for genre fans in Singapore. At SGD79.90 it sits at a reasonable price point for what early reviews describe as a lengthy, emotionally rewarding adventure. Persona 4 Revival Gets a Release Date — SGD Prices Now Live

Atlus has locked in the date: Persona 4 Revival launches on 18 February 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC — and Singapore pricing is already live on SEGA Asia’s official store.

The remake lands simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam) on 18 February 2027. A Nintendo Switch 2 version has not been announced for launch. The game is based on the expanded Persona 4 Golden — fan favourite character Marie and the Hollow Forest dungeon are both confirmed to appear in Revival.

What’s New in Persona 4 Revival?

This is not just a visual upgrade — Atlus is rebuilding the combat and interface from the ground up. Here are the biggest changes from Persona 4 Golden:

  • Baton Pass: The fan-favourite system from Persona 5 Royal makes the jump to Inaba, letting you transfer your turn to another party member after scoring a critical hit or targeting an enemy weakness.
  • Prime Time: A new charge gauge fills as you land consecutive hits. When it maxes out, SP costs disappear and the sequence ends in a high-damage finishing strike.
  • Series Finales: Each party member gets a unique, powerful personal finisher — similar in concept to P3 Reload’s Theurgy attacks, but built around Inaba’s cast.
  • Enemy Collision: Status-afflicted enemies can be knocked into each other, spreading the ailment and dealing bonus damage — a satisfying new tactical layer.
  • Dungeon Defence: A guard option in the TV World dungeons can block enemy ambushes, adding a new way to manage exploration risk.
  • Simplified UI: One button per ability replaces the original’s scrolling menus. Fully animated cutscenes replace the static visual-novel-style cinematics throughout.

On the audio side: the entire English voice cast has been replaced for the remake. New vocalist Shiori Sasaki and composer Ryota Kozuka are handling the soundtrack.

P-STUDIO director Kazuhisa Wada said of the launch: “As we take this next step, we are thrilled the launch date is set for Persona 4 Revival and fans get to encounter a fresh and modernized experience as they discover the mysteries hidden in Inaba,” as quoted by RPGSite.

Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition Launches on Switch 2 This June

Dante has never run on a Nintendo platform — until now. Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 on 23 June 2026, and Netflix has simultaneously greenlit a third and final season of its DMC animated series. It has been a big few weeks for fans of Capcom’s stylish-action franchise.

Devil May Cry 5 Switch 2: A First for the Franchise on Nintendo Hardware

Capcom unveiled the Devil Hunter Edition during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct, marking the first time a mainline Devil May Cry title has appeared on a Nintendo system. Built on Capcom’s RE Engine, the port targets 60fps in both TV and handheld modes — essential for a game where every frame counts when you’re chasing S-rank style scores.

The digital version launches on 23 June 2026. Pre-orders and early purchases through 31 July are priced at USD$29.99 (standard price: USD$39.99). SGD pricing on the Nintendo eShop Singapore is to be confirmed; check the eShop closer to launch. A physical copy follows on 28 August 2026.

What Is in the Devil Hunter Edition?

The Devil Hunter Edition bundles the complete DMC5 campaign with every major DLC, including the fan-favourite Vergil as a playable character. That gives you four distinct playable protagonists out of the box: Nero (with his modular Devil Breaker prosthetics designed by Nico), the legendary Dante, the summon-based V, and Vergil himself. Rounding things out are costume colour variants, bonus taunts, and extra battle tracks to customise your sessions.

DMC5 first launched in 2019 on PS4 and Xbox One before arriving on PS5 and Xbox Series X in a Special Edition with Vergil already playable. The Switch 2 release brings that definitive package to a portable platform for the first time — perfect for Singapore commuters and students who prefer handheld gaming.

Netflix’s Devil May Cry Anime Enters Its Final Arc

On the animation side, Netflix confirmed the Devil May Cry animated series — available on Netflix Singapore right now — will return for a third and final season. Showrunner Adi Shankar outlined the grand design in a statement to Variety: “This was always Dante’s ‘Divine Comedy’ with guns and a red coat. Season 1 was ‘Inferno.’ Season 2 was ‘Purgatorio.’ Season 3 will be ‘Paradiso.'” All three chapters together form what Shankar calls The Force Edge Saga, conceived from the start as “a movie trilogy disguised as a television series.”

Season 2 debuted on 12 May 2026 and racked up 6.4 million views in its first two weeks, keeping the show on Netflix’s Global Top 10. Season 1 has accumulated 21.7 million views to date. No premiere date for Season 3 has been confirmed yet.

Last Words

Singapore Switch 2 owners have a clean opportunity on 23 June: DMC5 Devil Hunter Edition is one of the most technically polished action games of the past decade, and the early-adopter window makes it an easy recommendation. Meanwhile, if you have not started the Netflix series, Seasons 1 and 2 are on Netflix Singapore now — ideal prep for the Paradiso finale whenever it arrives. Aozora Market Returns to Suntec This July — Free-Entry ACG Fair

Singapore’s ACG event calendar keeps filling up for mid-year, and the latest addition is one to bookmark: Aozora Market is coming to Suntec Convention Hall 405 on 18–19 July 2026, with free entry and a full artist alley for anime, cosplay, and gaming fans.

What Is Aozora Market?

Aozora Market is an artist-focused anime, cosplay, and gaming (ACG) convention created by the team behind Hanami Market. The concept centres on the Artist Alley — a floor space where illustrators, crafters, and doujin creators set up tables to share original works and fandom-inspired art directly with attendees. If you’ve been to Hanami Market before, think of Aozora as the same community spirit, scaled up for a Suntec hall.

Event Details at a Glance

  • Dates: Saturday 18 July – Sunday 19 July 2026
  • Hours: 11 AM – 7 PM (both days)
  • Venue: Suntec City Convention Centre, Hall 405 (nearest MRT: Esplanade, CC3)
  • Admission: Free
  • Bag checks conducted at the door for safety

What to Expect Inside

Artist Alley is the beating heart of the fair, with illustrators, doujin creators, crafters, TCG designers, and makers sharing their work. The organisers describe it as a space where “original works, fandom-inspired creations, and the artists who bring them to life” all share the same floor — a welcome contrast to commercial-heavy expos.

Beyond the tables, there’s a Stamp Rally: collect stamps from participating booths and redeem them for exclusive prizes — a nice reason to wander the full hall rather than beelining for one or two favourite artists. There will also be a dedicated trading card games (TCG) section connecting fan-made card creators with players.

Collaborations with cosplayers and brands are still being confirmed, so expect more announcements from the organisers in the weeks ahead. Follow @hanamimkt on Instagram for the latest updates.

Last Words

Free entry, Suntec, a proper artist alley, and a stamp rally — Aozora Market has all the ingredients for a strong mid-July weekend. If you enjoyed Hanami Market or you’re a regular at local ACG fairs, this is one to put in the calendar now. We’ll update this post when the full exhibitor line-up and any guest announcements drop. Check our Events section for the rest of the Singapore gaming and anime calendar.

Creators Super Fest 2026 at Suntec Singapore: 11-12 July

Singapore’s mid-year pop-culture calendar just got a must-attend date. AFA Creators Super Fest 2026 (CSF26) is returning to Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre on 11–12 July 2026, bringing two days of anime art, cosplay, live music, and hands-on creative workshops to Hall 403–405.

What Is Creators Super Fest?

Running under the banner of “CREATE. SHARE. PLAY.”, CSF is Anime Festival Asia (AFA)‘s annual community-driven festival built specifically for the ACG (Anime, Comics, Games) creator scene. Unlike a standard convention, it puts the spotlight squarely on the talent behind the art — illustrators, cosplayers, crafters, and performers from Singapore and across the region come together to showcase work, run workshops, and meet fans face-to-face. This year’s edition takes over Hall 403–405, a larger footprint than previous years, with a revamped floor plan designed for easier navigation.

Guest Illustrator: lack

Headlining the art side is lack (stylised in lowercase), a renowned Japanese illustrator whose career on Pixiv stretches over a decade. Fate/Grand Order fans will recognise his distinctive style from the Servant designs he contributed to FGO, including Okada Izou, Sétanta, Andromeda, and Toudou Heisuke. Meeting him at an autograph or talk session is the kind of opportunity that rarely makes it to Singapore — the full programme for his appearance will be confirmed closer to July.

Super Akiba Stage: Rie-fu, Kohana Lam and Yomii

The live music lineup is equally strong. Three artists who will resonate deeply with anime fans are confirmed for the Super Akiba Stage:

  • Rie-fu — the Tokyo-born singer-songwriter whose bilingual track “Life is Like a Boat” became the beloved ending theme for early-run Bleach in 2004. She also contributed music to Gundam SEED Destiny, Darker than Black, and D.Gray-man. Catching her perform live in Singapore is a rare chance.
  • Kohana Lam — the avex trax singer-songwriter behind anime themes for The Dangers in My Heart and My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me!, with her 2026 album Time With You (out February) already turning heads across the region.
  • Yomii — the Japanese indie-pop artist bringing her atmospheric sound to the CSF stage.

What to Expect on the Floor

Creators Super Fest 2026 floor plan Hall 403-405 Suntec Singapore

The CSF26 floor spans Hall 403–405 and is divided into dedicated zones across the two days:

  • Creators Hub — browse exclusive artwork, prints, and merchandise directly from premium and standard artist tables, with more names being announced in the weeks ahead.
  • Cosplay Hub — more than 30 confirmed cosplayers will be on the floor over both days, available for photos and interaction.
  • Cosplay Singles Competition — competitors go head-to-head for cash prizes in one of the event’s most-watched highlights.
  • Creators Lab — live workshops where you can watch and participate as artists demonstrate their process in real time.
  • Fashion Hub — ACG-inspired fashion from regional designers and creators.
  • Super Akiba Stage — the main performance stage for the music acts above and additional programming to be announced.

Getting There

Suntec Singapore is one of the most accessible convention venues in the city. Take the Circle Line to Esplanade MRT (CC3) — Hall 403–405 is roughly a 3-minute, 248-metre walk from the station exit. Event hours are 9am–6pm on both Saturday 11 July and Sunday 12 July.

Tickets

CSF26 is a ticketed event. Ticket prices and sale dates have not yet been announced — follow the official Creators Super Fest website and @creatorssuperfest on Instagram for updates. Artist meet-and-greet slots and special passes have sold out fast in past editions, so keep an eye on announcements the moment ticketing opens.

Last words

With guest illustrator lack representing the Fate/Grand Order art world and Rie-fu bringing anime-classic credentials stretching back to 2004, CSF 2026 has the lineup to draw a wide crowd — from competitive cosplayers to fans who simply want a July weekend surrounded by passionate ACG creators. We’ll update this page once ticket pricing drops. In the meantime, browse our coverage of other events coming up in Singapore this year.

Though I Am an Inept Villainess Arrives on Netflix Singapore on 12 July

Good news for Singapore Netflix subscribers who love palace intrigue. Though I Am an Inept Villainess (ふつつかな悪女ではございますが ~雛宮蝶鼠とりかえ伝~) is landing on Netflix Singapore on 12 July 2026, with Toho Entertainment Asia today confirming the series as part of their Asian streaming lineup. It is a body-swap palace drama from Doga Kobo that has quietly become one of the Summer 2026 anime season’s most-anticipated titles.

The Story: Two Court Rivals, One Body Swap

Based on Satsuki Nakamura’s light novel — a series that has sold over 3 million copies and won the grand prize in the light novel category at NTT Solmare’s 2023 competition — the story is set in a royal training institution steeped in court politics and rivalry. Kou Reirin is the court butterfly: beautiful, kind, and adored by all. Her counterpart Shu Keigetsu is the envious court rat who uses magic to swap their bodies. What unfolds is a story of crossed identities, unexpected empathy, and palace scheming told from two very different points of view.

Production: Doga Kobo, a Veteran Director, and milet on the Theme

The anime is directed by Mitsue Yamazaki at Doga Kobo — the studio known for delivering polished character-driven productions — with character design by Ai Kikuchi. The voice cast features Manaka Iwami as Kou Reirin, Natsumi Kawaida as Shu Keigetsu, and Makoto Furukawa as Ei Gyomei.

One extra pull for Singapore fans: the opening theme, Sunny, is performed by milet — the Japanese singer-songwriter whose work on Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba built a devoted following across Southeast Asia. It is the kind of casting that signals the production is aiming for mainstream reach beyond the usual light-novel fanbase.

Where Singapore Fans Can Watch

The series premieres on Netflix Singapore on 12 July 2026 as part of Toho Entertainment Asia’s regional release. Viewers in North America, Europe, and most other Western markets will find the series on Crunchyroll instead. The anime was originally slated for April 2026 before a production delay pushed it to its current summer slot.

Last Words

With Doga Kobo behind the production, a 3-million-copy light novel as source material, and milet on the opening credits, Though I Am an Inept Villainess looks like a well-packaged summer pick for Singapore Netflix subscribers who enjoy fantasy romance with a political edge. Block out 12 July, and check our anime coverage for more Summer 2026 season roundups.

Fandom Art Fiesta 2026 at Kallang Leisure Park — Last Day Today

If you have nothing planned for this Sunday, here is a good reason to head to Kallang — Fandom Art Fiesta 2026 is on until 7pm tonight, and it is completely free.

What Is Fandom Art Fiesta?

Fandom Art Fiesta (FAF) is one of Singapore’s most beloved community ACG (Anime, Comics, and Games) art markets. Each edition brings together a curated selection of local and regional independent creators who set up booths selling original fan art, limited prints, stickers, keychains, acrylic charms, doujin goods, and handmade merchandise tied to the anime, gaming, and pop-culture fandoms Singapore fans love. If you have been to a Doujin Market or browsed AFA’s artist alley, FAF sits in that same creative space — with a community-first, neighbourhood energy that keeps it genuinely welcoming for newcomers and regulars alike.

The event has built a loyal following among Singapore’s ACG community precisely because it lowers the barrier on both sides: for independent creators who want a local platform to share and sell their work, and for fans who want to discover and support SG artists without paying event admission.

Key Details for Today

  • Date: Sunday, 14 June 2026 — today is the second and final day
  • Hours: 11:00am – 7:00pm
  • Venue: Leisure Park Kallang, 5 Stadium Walk, Singapore 397693
  • Nearest MRT: Stadium MRT (Circle Line, CC6) — approximately 2 minutes on foot
  • Entry: Free admission

What to Expect at FAF

Creator booths are the heart of FAF. Expect fan art prints and original goods spanning a wide mix of fandoms — current-season anime, classic JRPGs, Pokémon, Genshin Impact, and original character art all tend to be well represented. Cosplayers show up in force, and the indoor venue at Leisure Park Kallang has a relaxed, photo-friendly atmosphere that makes it a natural social hangout even if you are not specifically there to buy.

A few practical tips if you are heading down today:

  • Bring cash or PayNow — smaller creator booths may not accept card payments
  • Arrive earlier rather than later if you have specific creators in mind; limited-run prints and exclusive doujin items tend to sell out by early afternoon
  • Follow @fandom_art_fiesta on Instagram to see participating creators, booth numbers, and catalogue previews before you arrive

How to Find FAF at Leisure Park Kallang

Leisure Park Kallang is a short walk from Stadium MRT (CC6 on the Circle Line) — exit and follow the covered walkway, and it is about two minutes on foot. Parking is available at the mall for those driving. The event is held indoors, so air-conditioned comfort is guaranteed even on a warm June afternoon.

Last words

Singapore has one of the most creative ACG fan-art communities in Southeast Asia, and events like FAF are where you get to experience that creativity in person rather than through a screen. Free entry, easy MRT access, and several hours left today — if you are a Singapore anime or gaming fan with a free Sunday afternoon, Kallang is worth the trip. You can check out more local ACG events in our events section.

Star Fox on Switch 2: Free Demo Out Now, Full Game 25 June

After a decade on the sidelines, Fox McCloud is back — and Singapore Switch 2 owners can already take the Arwing for a spin.

Star Fox — Overview Trailer — Nintendo Switch 2 — via Nintendo of America on YouTube

What Is Star Fox on Nintendo Switch 2?

Nintendo has handed the keys to its long-dormant space-shooter franchise to Velan Studios, the New York-based developer behind Knockout City. Their brief: reimagine Star Fox 64 for a new generation on Switch 2, with a “cinematic take” that keeps the classic rail-shooter bones but rebuilds everything else from scratch. That means fully voiced dialogue, a sweeping new orchestral soundtrack, and a complete visual overhaul of Fox McCloud and crew as they battle to protect the Lylat System from the villainous Andross.

New lore is part of the package too: the game opens with a story prologue centred on Fox’s father, James McCloud, adding depth for both newcomers and returning fans. Perhaps the strongest endorsement of the project comes from Takaya Imamura — the original Star Fox character designer from the 1990s — who said the new designs are “exactly” what he always envisioned for the franchise.

The Free Demo Is Live Right Now

Nintendo released a free playable demo on the Switch 2 eShop on 12 June, and it is still up and waiting. Open the Nintendo eShop on your Switch 2, search for “Star Fox,” and download. The demo covers the opening tutorial sequence and the Meteo stage, giving you a real feel for the revamped flight controls — including the optional Joy-Con 2 mouse mode, which lets you steer and aim with pointer precision rather than analogue sticks.

New Features in Star Fox 2026

Beyond the single-player campaign, Velan Studios has added substantial new multiplayer and co-op content to justify the Switch 2 exclusivity:

  • Online 4-vs-4 team battles — Team Star Fox takes on Team Star Wolf across multiple arenas
  • Two-player co-op via local play or GameShare online — one player pilots, the other handles weapons
  • Three difficulty tiers (Easy, Normal, Expert), each adjusting enemy behaviour and story outcomes
  • First-person cockpit view as an alternative to the default third-person camera
  • amiibo support for Fox, Falco, and Wolf figures, unlocking in-game cosmetic rewards
  • USB camera GameChat integration that mirrors your facial expressions onto your character avatar in real time during online play

The Character Redesign Debate

One aspect of Star Fox 2026 that Singapore fans will have strong opinions on: the new character models. Velan Studios gave Fox, Falco, Peppy, and Slippy significantly more realistic, animalistic proportions — longer snouts, fur textures, expressive ears — a sharp departure from the rounded, almost toy-like designs of the ’90s originals. The reaction online has been genuinely split. Some love the cinematic polish and feel the characters finally look like actual anthropomorphic animals. Others feel it strips away exactly the charm that made Star Fox 64 iconic in the first place. Takaya Imamura’s endorsement has added some weight to the “pro-redesign” camp, but this debate is not going away before launch.

How to Get It in Singapore

Star Fox launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on 25 June 2026. The digital price in the US is US$49.99 — SGD pricing is to be confirmed on the Singapore eShop, but Switch 2 titles at this tier have typically landed in the SGD 67–70 range locally. A physical edition is also expected through local retailers. The game file is 14.8 GB, so plan your storage accordingly if you are going digital.

Pre-orders are live now on the Nintendo eShop. For those who just want to try it today, the free demo requires no purchase and no subscription.

Last words

Star Fox 64 holds a real place in the memory of Singapore gamers who grew up with the Nintendo 64 — “Do a barrel roll!” is practically part of the shared vocabulary. Whether Velan Studios’ bold reimagining earns those memories or unsettles them is something each of us will decide on 25 June. In the meantime, the demo is free, it takes minutes to download, and it is a genuinely solid way to spend a Sunday morning. Keep an eye on our Nintendo news section for more Switch 2 coverage ahead of launch.
