If you’re looking for a free anime fix before AFA arrives in November, Anime Earth by the Singapore Cosplay Club (SCC) — the same team behind Cosfest — is taking over City Square Mall’s Level 1 Atrium from 28 September to 4 October 2026. No ticket, no queue, just walk in.

What Is Anime Earth?
Anime Earth is Singapore Cosplay Club’s anime and Japanese pop-culture pop-up, running as the headline community event inside City Square Mall’s wider PlayVerse: Shop, Play & Discover campaign (4 Sep – 11 Oct 2026). SCC have been running Cosfest since 2003, making them one of Singapore’s longest-running cosplay event organisers. Anime Earth is their smaller, free-entry format — designed to bring the cosplay-convention atmosphere to everyday shoppers and families, not just dedicated fans.
When, Where, and How to Get There
The event runs daily from 11am to 7:30pm, 28 September to 4 October 2026, at the Level 1 Atrium of City Square Mall (180 Kitchener Road, Singapore 208539). Admission is free — no tickets or pre-registration needed for general access. The easiest way to get there is via Farrer Park MRT (NE8), a two-minute walk away. You can check out other upcoming Singapore events on GameTrader too.
Two Atriums, Seven Days of Content
The event splits across two atrium spaces running different programming on different days:
Atrium A hosts festival-themed anime and cosplay merchandise booths throughout the week. From Friday to Sunday (2–4 October), interactive game booths join the line-up — expect the kind of mini-activities you’d find at the average Cosfest or doujin market.
Atrium B operates on a rotating programme. From Monday to Thursday (28 September – 1 October), visual storytelling educator and Takahan Toy Art Museum creator Takahan Tan presents an art exhibition showcasing his distinctive character-driven visual work. From Friday to Sunday (2–4 October), the space opens up to emerging local artists and creators.

Free Drawing Workshops (3 & 4 October)
The weekend of 3–4 October also brings complimentary drawing workshops with two sessions each day — 2pm to 3pm and 4pm to 5pm. Registration is free; you can sign up via the form on www.anime-earth.com. Spaces are limited so register early if you or a younger family member want a spot.
Correction (9 September 2026): An earlier version of this article gave the Atrium B exhibition dates as 29 September – 2 October and the weekend programming as 3–4 October. The Takahan Tan exhibition runs 28 September – 1 October (Monday to Thursday), and the interactive game booths and emerging-artist showcase run 2–4 October (Friday to Sunday). Thanks to the City Square Mall team for flagging it.
It’s a genuinely low-barrier weekend plan for Singapore anime fans — free entry, a short MRT ride from the city, and programming that shifts across the week so there’s reason to come back more than once. Keep an eye on @cosfestofficial on Instagram for any last-minute additions to the line-up.
The Gran Turismo World Series is coming to Southeast Asia for the first time ever — and Singapore is the host. Round 3 of the 2026 championship lands at the Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands on Saturday, 3 October 2026, with tickets on sale now from SGD 38.

Gran Turismo World Series Singapore: What to Expect
The 2026 Gran Turismo World Series is the premier competitive circuit for Gran Turismo 7, pitting the world’s fastest virtual racers against each other in the Nations Cup and Manufacturers Cup. One ticket gets you into a full day of racing — both the Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup rounds, plus the special Singapore Regional Gran Turismo Cup support race that kicks off the programme.
Twelve racing seats will be lined up on stage at the Sands Theatre, with all the race action displayed live on a large screen above the drivers. UK TV presenter Jules Hardy hosts, alongside commentators Tom Brooks and Jimmy Broadbent.

The Singapore Regional Gran Turismo Cup
The event opens with the Singapore Regional Gran Turismo Cup — a dedicated support race showcasing homegrown regional talent. The 12-car grid brings together the six fastest drivers from Singapore and the single fastest qualifier from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia, all of whom earned their places through an in-game August Time Trial Challenge.
For Singapore fans, this is the closest you will get to watching local players compete on the same stage as the World Series field — a genuine one-of-a-kind experience tied directly to a city that has long been a fixture on the real-world Formula 1 calendar.
Premium Tickets — priority seating in the premium area of the Sands Theatre
Signature Tickets — limited to 100 seats, closest to the stage; includes a Meet & Greet session with World Series drivers plus autographs
Prices start from SGD 38 (booking fees apply). Discounts are available for attendees under 18, students, and military/service members. Round 3 – Singapore also marks the last points-scoring opportunity before the World Finals in Tokyo in early December, so the championship stakes will be real.
The event is part of Grand Prix Season Singapore (2–11 October), organised in partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board, running in the lead-up to the Formula 1 race weekend on 9–11 October. For more on gaming and pop-culture events in Singapore, check our events coverage.
GT7 Spec IV — The Biggest Free Update Yet
Image courtesy of Polyphony Digital / Sony Interactive Entertainment
The Singapore event also has a direct link to Gran Turismo 7’s most significant content update to date. Polyphony Digital announced the Spec IV update at the State of Play on 3 September — a free, two-part addition dropping in October and December 2026 — and confirmed that full details of what’s inside will be revealed at the Singapore World Series round on 3 October.
What’s in Spec IV
Image courtesy of Polyphony Digital / Sony Interactive Entertainment
Here is what Polyphony has confirmed so far across the two parts:
October 2026:
New circuit: Sportsland SUGO — the 3.7 km Japanese technical track known for its elevation changes and iconic Dunlop bridge
Six new cars
New Spec IV opening cinematic
Vintage — a section dedicated to cars no longer available for purchase new
Car Concierge — order Used and Legend cars on demand
Experience — brand-specific driving challenges
Car Viewer — inspect your garage collection up close
Raised Collector Level cap
December 2026:
New circuit: Autumn Ring — the fan-favourite from the original Gran Turismo, returning after decades away
Six new cars
Family — an accessible mode for players of all skill levels
Shuffle Race — luck-based races with randomly assigned cars
Image courtesy of Polyphony Digital / Sony Interactive Entertainment
That is 12 new cars and two new circuits in a single free update wave — a bigger content drop than anything GT7 has received since launch. If you are a PS5 owner who already owns Gran Turismo 7, the October part lands a month before the Autumn Ring December drop, making the Singapore World Series event on 3 October a genuine announcement stage for the full car and feature list.
Singapore gets its own headline moment in the global designer-toy calendar this August. POP TOY SHOW 2026 lands at Sands Expo & Convention Centre (Level 1, Halls A, B, C) from 21–23 August, and the occasion this year is especially significant: it is the only global POP TOY SHOW stop in 2026, and it doubles as the centrepiece celebration for MOLLY’s 20th anniversary.

MOLLY Turns 20 — and Singapore Gets the World Premiere
MOLLY, the round-faced vinyl figure created by artist Kenny Wong that launched POP MART into the global mainstream, celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. Kenny Wong will attend POP TOY SHOW in person, making this a rare opportunity to meet the creator of one of the most recognised designer-toy characters worldwide.
Singapore’s event carries several world-first exclusives tied to the milestone:
MEGA ROYAL MOLLY 400% — oversized anniversary edition, Singapore exclusive
MOLLY fridge magnet — Singapore exclusive
MOLLY 20th Anniversary Series 1/8 Action Figures — highly detailed scale figures celebrating two decades of the character

More Singapore and Event Exclusives
Beyond MOLLY, POP TOY SHOW 2026 brings a full slate of exclusives spanning other beloved POP MART IPs and collaborations:
KUBO Soup Dumplings — Singapore exclusive
CHAKA Unicorn: Abide in the Light — Singapore exclusive
HACIPUPU Giraffe — Singapore exclusive
Hirono Hisyphus Sculpture — Singapore exclusive
Hirono Dino Plush Doll Pendant — Singapore exclusive

International Creator Debuts in Singapore
POP TOY SHOW is also a platform for the wider designer-toy art community. Two international acts make their Singapore debut at this year’s event:
Catmynt & Jenny Cherry (Mexico) — independent artists bringing their character-driven vinyl work to Singapore for the first time
Matt Gondek x Ron English — “Lil’ Shit POPaganda” — limited run of just 100 pieces, representing a collision of Gondek’s deconstructed pop art and English’s POPaganda aesthetic

Local Singapore Creators on the Floor
Homegrown talent also has a dedicated presence at the show. Singapore-based creators participating include:
Rex Lee — My SpaceCats series
Pigeoncrafts
Sad Shrimps
Mox Monsters — Gold Fish Balls series
Hello Kitty and Sanrio at the Show
Sanrio’s iconic characters also make an appearance, with the Hello Kitty Wisher Series among the highlights on the show floor — a natural draw for collectors who cross between the art-toy and Sanrio fandoms.
POP TOY SHOW 2026 runs 21–23 August 2026, 11am–7pm daily (last admission 6:30pm) at Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Level 1 — Halls A, B, C, Marina Bay Sands.
Ticket options:
1-Day Advance: S$40
1-Day Door: S$45
Child (ages 3–12): S$12
3-Day Fun Pass: S$268 — limited to 1,500 passes; includes early entry, a raffle slot, and a goodie bag valued at S$148
The 3-Day Fun Pass is the pick for serious collectors — the early entry alone significantly reduces queue time for limited drops on day one, and the goodie bag value makes the premium pricing reasonable. Given this is the only global POP TOY SHOW in 2026, demand is likely to be strong.
Singapore is about to become the first city in Southeast Asia — and only the third location globally — to host Disney’s flagship fan convention. D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event has been confirmed for 25–27 June 2027 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, with ticket sales opening in November 2026. For Disney fans in the region, it’s the closest the D23 experience has ever been.
What Is D23 Asia?
Image courtesy of The Walt Disney Company
D23 is Disney’s official fan convention — the name references 1923, the year Walt Disney founded his first studio. The event brings together films, Disney+, theme parks, merchandise, live stage presentations, and direct access to the creative talent behind Disney’s biggest properties under one roof. Think exclusive sneak peeks, special announcements, celebrity appearances, behind-the-scenes sessions, and shopping, all aimed squarely at enthusiast fans.
The main D23 Expo runs every two years in Anaheim, California. This Singapore edition is a dedicated Asia-Pacific version — and while no specific panel lineup has been confirmed yet, previous D23 Asia events in Japan featured Marvel franchise updates, theme park expansion previews, and appearances by the productions’ creative teams.
D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event Coming to Singapore in 2027 — via Disney on YouTube
Venue and Dates
The event runs across three days — 25, 26, and 27 June 2027 — at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, the large events space connected to Marina Bay Sands. This is the same venue that regularly hosts major conventions and trade fairs, so it has the floor space and infrastructure for a multi-day fan event of this scale.
Specific ticket prices and pass tiers have not yet been announced. Ticket sales open in November 2026. Disney has indicated further programming details will be shared via the official D23 Asia website and its Instagram channels closer to the event.
What Singapore Fans Can Expect
Image courtesy of The Walt Disney Company
Disney has outlined D23 Asia as featuring “live stage presentations with special announcements, interactive experiences, curated merchandise, sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes moments, thrilling performances, shopping, surprises, and more.” That is intentionally broad at this stage, but based on prior D23 editions the format typically includes:
Hall presentations for major franchises (Marvel, Star Wars, Disney Animation, Pixar)
Disney+ Asia-Pacific Originals previews and meet-the-creator sessions
Theme park announcements (Asia-Pacific fans will be watching for updates on Tokyo Disneyland, Shanghai Disneyland, and Hong Kong Disneyland)
Exclusive D23 merchandise available only at the event
Cosplay, fan community showcases, and interactive activations
For gaming fans: Kingdom Hearts IV, Disney Lorcana, and Disney’s console collaborations have all had a presence at past D23 events, so game-related announcements are plausible — especially with Kingdom Hearts IV building toward its release window.
Asad Ayaz, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer at The Walt Disney Company, said in the announcement: “Bringing D23 to Singapore reflects the incredible passion of Disney fans across Asia Pacific and our desire to meet them where they are.”
Why Singapore, and Why Now?
D23’s previous Asia editions were all held in Japan (2013, 2015, 2018), reflecting Tokyo Disneyland’s enormous draw for the franchise’s Japanese fanbase. The shift to Singapore for 2027 signals how Disney sees Southeast Asia as its next major growth market — and Singapore’s position as a regional hub for conventions and entertainment events makes it the natural anchor.
For Singapore fans, the practical upside is significant. Travelling to Anaheim or Tokyo for a fan convention involves flights and hotels that make a D23 trip expensive for most regional fans. A Singapore edition removes that barrier — and positions the city as a genuine pop-culture destination on the same tier as the convention cities that have hosted it before.
KFC Singapore is going all-in on Pokémon, and The Ultimate Launch is exactly what it sounds like: one of the biggest food collabs to hit the island this year. From 19 August to 29 September 2026, every one of the chain’s 71 outlets transforms into part of the Pokémon universe — with a Japanese-themed seasonal menu, two waves of collectible merch, Pokémon GO integration, and Pikachu meet-and-greets on the schedule.
A Japanese-Inspired Menu Worth Trying
The centrepiece of the food side is a limited-time Japanese Nanban menu that brings tangy umami flavours to KFC’s lineup:
Japanese Nanban Zinger from $7.50
Japanese Nanban Chicken Bites from $6.90
Japanese Nanban Loaded Fries at $5.95
Sweet Potato Balls from $3.95
The Nanban sauce — a Japanese-style sweet vinegar marinade — gives the collaboration a genuinely Japan-flavoured feel rather than a simple character rebrand. All items are available across all 71 outlets for the campaign’s full six-week run.
First up: the Pokémon Reversible Everyday Blind Pouch at $14.95, redeemable with any purchase of the Japanese Nanban Zinger or Chicken Bites Box. The pouches look like Poké Balls on the outside, then flip inside-out to reveal one of four Pokémon — Pikachu, Eevee, Mew, or Snorlax. Since it is a blind box, you cannot choose your character.
Early risers also get a bonus: a free Pokémon Sticker Sheet with any breakfast meal plus a Milo, available before 11am only — a low-effort add-on if you are already grabbing breakfast on the way to work or school.
Wave 2 Merch (from 9 September): Buckets, Chopsticks, and the Charizard Jacket
September unlocks the more substantial pieces:
Poké Ball Bucket — $12.95 with any 5-piece Chicken Bucket
Gaming Chopsticks (Pikachu or Gengar designs) — $15.95, available via delivery only
Pikachu Car Neck Pillow Set — $32.95, at drive-thru and extended-hour stores
Pokémon Evolution Jacket — $99, featuring Charmander → Charmeleon → Charizard across the back; limited to one per person, exclusively at Kallang, Jurong Point, Bedok Town Square, Causeway Point, and SCAPE
The Charizard jacket is the headline collector piece and is almost certainly the item that sells out first — limited stock, five outlets only. Worth confirming availability before making a special trip.
Five Pokémon-Typed KFC Outlets in Singapore
Five KFC locations have received full in-store Pokémon-type makeovers. If you want the full experience rather than just the food and merch, these are the ones to visit:
Water type — NEX
Fire type — JEM
Electric type — Kallang
Ghost type — Compass One
Grass type — Jurong Point
Note that the Singapore Zoo and Sentosa outlets are excluded from all merchandise redemptions.
Pokémon GO, a Pikachu Meet-and-Greet, and Free TCG Tutorials
Beyond the food and merch, the collaboration adds three layers of in-store activity:
Pokémon GO: All 71 KFC outlets become PokéStops and Gyms for the campaign’s full duration. Useful if you play regularly and are passing by anyway.
Pikachu Meet-and-Greet on 29 August — three sessions across three outlets:
KFC Kallang — 11:00am to 11:30am
KFC SCAPE — 2:00pm to 2:30pm
KFC Jurong Point — 5:00pm to 5:30pm
Free Pokémon TCG Tutorial Sessions (12–20 September): Over 200 beginner “New Trainer Journey” sessions for newcomers to the Trading Card Game. Registration is through the official Pokémon TCG site. A good entry point for parents wanting to introduce younger players, or anyone curious about the TCG who hasn’t known where to start.
The imperial court is setting up shop on Scotts Road. The Apothecary Diaries Exhibition Singapore opens at Fever Exhibition Hall on 30 September 2026 and runs through 1 November — a five-week stint that lands the touring anime exhibition in Singapore for the first time, after stops in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei and Seoul.
The announcement came via Sliding Doors Entertainment Asia and TOHO animation’s Asia account, with the key visual putting Maomao, Jinshi and the rest of the palace cast against a wall of flowers. Worth flagging: that post said “ticket information available soon” — but tickets are already live on Fever, and there’s an early-bird deadline coming up fast.

What the Apothecary Diaries Exhibition Singapore actually is
This is the travelling exhibition produced by Hong Kong-based INCUBASE Studio, which began its Asia tour in Hong Kong in November 2025 and has since run in Kuala Lumpur (23 May to 12 July), Taipei and Seoul. Singapore is the next stop, with Fever as both venue and ticketing partner and Trip.com Group also handling ticketing.
The format is a walk-through rather than a gallery you drift around in. Fever lists the run time at roughly 55 minutes at your own pace, and re-entry is not permitted — so this isn’t a “pop out for bubble tea and come back” kind of visit. Plan the timing.
Inside, the draw is a mix of recreated sets and production material. Fever’s listing for the Singapore run points to Maomao’s medicine cabinet, the Inner Palace corridors, life-size character standees, original artwork and photo spots with props from the show. INCUBASE says the tour carries over 250 pieces of reproduced original artwork, storyboards and production materials — including sketches walking through Maomao’s pharmacological reasoning — much of which had not been shown outside Japan before the tour started.

Sets, standees and 250-plus artworks
From the Hong Kong and KL legs, the shape of it is clear enough. Zones recreate palace and pleasure district scenes at full scale with video content layered in, character costumes go on display, and there’s a behind-the-scenes area on how the anime was made. Autographed memorabilia from original novel author Natsu Hyuuga and members of the voice cast has featured on previous stops.
Image courtesy of INCUBASE Studio — from the exhibition’s Hong Kong run
Interactive bits have travelled with it too — a “find the hidden Maomao” hunt for eight mini figures scattered through the exhibition, a photo sticker booth, and location-exclusive photo zones. The KL run added a poison-tasting scene at the Garden Party and a Go challenge. Which of these make the Singapore cut hasn’t been confirmed, so treat the specifics as likely rather than guaranteed.
Image courtesy of INCUBASE Studio — from the exhibition’s Hong Kong run
There’s a merchandise shop at the end, which on previous legs carried acrylic stands, keychains, metal bookmarks, clear files and character goods. If you’ve done a licensed anime exhibition in Singapore before, you know the shop is where the damage happens.

Tickets and prices in SGD
Tickets are on sale now through Fever at early-bird rates. Prices at the time of writing:
Adult (13+): S$28
Child (3–12): S$25
VIP (adult or child): S$63 — includes two metal bookmarks and a S$10 merchandise voucher
Bundle of 3: S$73 — up to two adults and one child, or one adult and two children
Bundle of 4: S$96 — various adult/child splits
The catch: Fever adds a booking surcharge of around S$2.10 per ticket at checkout, so the S$28 adult ticket lands closer to S$30. Every ticket tier includes a complimentary clear character card.
Mark your calendar: book before 30 August and you get a free random clear character card on top. That’s a little over two weeks from now, so if you were going anyway, going early costs you nothing.
Children under 2 enter free, and anyone 12 and under needs an adult with them. The venue is accessible. Group bookings of 30 or more go through Sliding Doors Entertainment at enquiry@slidingdoorsentertainment.com.
Getting to Fever Exhibition Hall
Fever Exhibition Hall sits at 25 Scotts Road, Singapore 228220 — the old T Galleria by DFS space, about a five-minute walk from Orchard MRT up Scotts Road. It’s the same 1,300 sqm venue that has hosted The Art of Banksy and the Portals sci-fi experience since opening in 2025.
Exhibition hours are 10am to 8pm daily, with last entry at 7pm. Given the 55-minute run time and the no-re-entry rule, a 7pm slot is cutting it fine if you want time in the merch shop.
Season 3 lands right in the middle of the run
The timing here is not an accident. Season 3 premieres in October 2026 for its first cour, with the second cour following in April 2027, and an original anime film written by Natsu Hyuuga opens in Japanese cinemas in December. The exhibition opens on 30 September — days before the new season starts.
【薬屋のひとりごと】2周年記念PV — via TOHO animation チャンネル on YouTube (Japanese)
If you’re coming in cold, both existing seasons stream on Netflix Singapore with English subtitles — the series is one of the titles Netflix licensed for select Asian territories, Singapore included, rather than the Crunchyroll-everywhere-else arrangement. One thing for parents to note: Netflix Singapore rates the series NC16, even though the exhibition sells child tickets from age 3. The show deals in poisonings and court politics; the exhibition is a set-and-artwork walkthrough. Judge the two separately.
Should you book?
At S$28 for roughly an hour, this is priced in line with the other licensed anime exhibitions that have passed through Singapore, and cheaper than most Fever Exhibition Hall headliners. The five-week window is short, it closes before the November school holidays start, and the early-bird card disappears on 30 August.
If you’ve watched Maomao poison-test her way through two seasons, the medicine cabinet alone is probably worth the ticket. We’ll update this post when the Singapore-specific zone list and merch lineup are confirmed — until then, keep an eye on our event coverage and anime and manga sections.

Tickets, Venue and How to Get There
Admission is S$16 per day for general entry. Students and BushiNavi or Ultra League members pay half price (S$8). Children under 12 enter free. Tickets are available through Eventbrite or at the door.
The venue is at 1 Raffles Boulevard, Singapore 039593 — the Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre, Level 4. The closest MRT is Esplanade (CC3) on the Circle Line, with paid parking available at Suntec City Mall. The event runs both days from 10am to 8pm.

Singapore’s gaming scene is about to get its biggest homegrown festival yet. Game On, Dreamers! — organised by Singapore-based GameOn Dreamers (SG) Pte Ltd and powered by amc asia! (sg) and Liminal Entertainment — is launching its inaugural G.O.D. Mode (Multiplayer Offline Digital Event) over National Day weekend: 7 to 9 August 2026 at Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Halls D, E & F.
The Singapore Tourism Board is backing the event, and the team has already locked in strategic partnerships with global gaming company CAPCOM and creator network Social Seed. If that opening line-up is any indication, G.O.D. Mode is positioning itself as a permanent new fixture on Singapore’s pop-culture events calendar.
Three Zones, One Long Weekend

The festival floor spans three distinct themed areas designed to serve every kind of gamer:
Dream World — immersive tech and virtual reality experiences
Dream Battle — the competitive esports arena, with professional tournaments and open community brackets
Dream Play — anime fandom, cosplay competitions, indie game developers and creator showcases
CAPCOM On Board at G.O.D. Mode — Street Fighter and More
The highest-profile announced partner is CAPCOM, which has signed an MOU to bring its franchises to G.O.D. Mode through competitive play, community showcases and curated experiences. Ricky Bian Li, Managing Director of CAPCOM Singapore, said: “Singapore continues to be an important market for gaming culture in Southeast Asia. We are excited to explore how our franchises can engage fans through competitive play, community showcases and curated experiences at G.O.D. Mode.”
Street Fighter 6 is the obvious CAPCOM title for Dream Battle tournament play, and the broader esports slate is expected to include Valorant, Mobile Legends, League of Legends and Dota 2 — covering the full range from FGC to MOBA to tactical shooters. Official programming details per title are to be confirmed closer to the event.
Singapore, Certified Esports Destination
The Singapore Tourism Board’s backing is deliberate: STB Director Lilian Chee noted that G.O.D. Mode “adds a fresh dimension to our vibrant events calendar, reinforcing Singapore’s destination appeal” as a hub for esports. Broadcast partner Zenway Productions is planning global streaming, with CEO Li Jianming saying the goal is to “ensure Game On, Dreamers! delivers a premium esports experience that can be enjoyed both on-site and by audiences around the world.”
The National Day weekend timing is no accident. Running from 7 to 9 August gives Singaporeans a full long-weekend reason to show up — and the event is billed as inclusive for all skill levels, with family-friendly activities alongside the pro-level competition.

AFA Singapore 2026 is confirmed: Anime Festival Asia returns to Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre from 27 to 29 November 2026. This year carries extra weight — AFASG26 falls in the year Singapore and Japan mark 60 years of diplomatic relations, and organisers SOZO Pte Ltd have already framed the event around that milestone, promising three nights of Japanese anisong concerts, an expanded Creator’s Hub, and the full AFA lineup that fans have come to expect every November.
AFA Singapore 2026 — Dates, Venue, and Getting There
Image courtesy of Anime Festival Asia
Mark your calendar: Friday 27 November through Sunday 29 November 2026, 10am–9pm daily, at Suntec Singapore, 1 Raffles Boulevard. The nearest MRT stations are Esplanade (CC3) and Promenade (CC4/DT15). Suntec’s sprawling convention halls have hosted every Singapore AFA in recent memory and remain one of the few venues in the city with the floor space to accommodate a multi-hall anime expo at this scale.
Ticketing is not yet open, and the artist lineup has not been announced. The official page at animefestival.asia/afasg26 is currently in exhibitor-recruitment mode. Based on the cadence of previous years, ticket tiers and the concert lineup tend to land around 8–10 weeks before the event — so expect first announcements from late September 2026. We will have coverage here the moment they drop.
What AFA Singapore Looks Like Inside
Image courtesy of Anime Festival Asia
The confirmed programming segments for AFASG26:
Exhibition Hall — publisher and IP booths, exclusive merchandise, and interactive brand experiences
Creator’s Hub — artist alley with original and fan-inspired goods from Singapore-based and visiting creators
Cosplay Hub — cosplay showcases and the Cosplay Singles Competition
AFA Next Stage — the main entertainment stage hosting live acts, voice actor panels, and community events
Three nights of anisong concerts — Japanese artists performing live on consecutive evenings (lineup TBA)
Anime Showcases — back-to-back screenings and previews of upcoming and current titles
Food Street — on-site dining
The 60th Anniversary Angle
Sixty years of Singapore-Japan diplomatic ties is not a small milestone. Since 1966, that relationship has shaped everything from how Singapore’s tech sector was built to how Japanese pop culture — manga, anime, games, music — has been woven into daily life here for generations. AFA is, in many ways, a direct product of that cultural exchange.
