The 14th edition of Hatsune Miku’s annual Magical Mirai 2026 wrapped up at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo on 30 August under the theme “Sonare of the Lake” — and now the complete final night show is coming to your shelf. Crypton Future Media and TOKYO MX have confirmed the Magical Mirai 2026 Blu-ray and DVD release for 3 February 2027, and all editions are region-free, meaning Singapore fans can import and watch without any playback restrictions.

As we covered when the Tokyo leg kicked off, Magical Mirai 2026 was the first time the event visited Hamamatsu, with three-city stops in Hamamatsu (24–26 July), Osaka (14–16 August) and Tokyo (28–30 August). What the Magical Mirai 2026 Blu-ray Captures

Both the standard and limited editions record the full Tokyo venue final evening performance — 26 tracks in total, including the event theme song Sora ni Menjite by Tota Kasamura feat. Hatsune Miku, plus encore performances. The package artwork is illustrated by Wata, the artist behind this year’s key visual.

Three Editions and Pricing

Three editions are available for pre-order, all confirmed region-free for both Blu-ray and DVD formats:

What the Limited Edition Adds

Beyond the main concert disc, the limited edition includes a large-volume bonus disc stacked with content the evening show didn’t include:

  • Daily Songs — 7 performance recordings from across the Magical Mirai 2026 run not featured in the final Tokyo evening show
  • Focus on Singers — 9 songs filmed from dedicated single-singer camera angles, giving each character a spotlight moment

Magical Mirai 2027: Hiroshima Joins the Tour

The announcement also confirms that Magical Mirai 2027 — the 15th anniversary edition — will add Hiroshima to the tour alongside the returning Osaka and Tokyo venues. Specific dates have not yet been announced; the official site at magicalmirai.com will carry updates as they land.

The theme this year is “Sonare of the Lake” (Sonare is Latin for “to resound”), with theme song “空に免じて” (Sora ni Menjite) composed by Kasamura Tota feat. Hatsune Miku — and the event delivers what Magical Mirai always promises: a holographic concert, a creative exhibition, and merchandise you cannot get anywhere else.

What Is Magical Mirai?

Magical Mirai is the official annual Hatsune Miku event produced by Crypton Future Media, combining a large-scale interactive exhibition — covering Miku’s history, merchandise, artist showcases, and fan art galleries — with a full-production holographic concert. Every year carries a different theme and a different costume design for Miku and her fellow Piapro Character VOCALOID cast: Kagamine Rin/Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and KAITO. This year’s designs feature a sunflower-and-water motif, with Miku in particular carrying an umbrella and floral accents that echo the lakeside theme.

The concert features Miku performing as a holographic projection backed by a live band, with community-composed Piapro songs mixed alongside fan-favourite classics. The exhibition runs throughout each day; the concerts run twice daily in Day and Night Show slots.

The Tokyo dates close out the 2026 tour, which previously visited Hamamatsu Act City (24–26 July) and INTEX Osaka (14–16 August). The Tokyo venue is Makuhari Messe’s International Exhibition Halls 1, 2, 3, and 9 — one of Japan’s largest convention spaces and the regular home of Tokyo Game Show.

Today’s schedule (Japan Standard Time):

  • Day Show: Doors open 11:00 AM, show starts 12:00 PM (approx. 2 hours)

Beyond the live event, Crypton Future Media has announced a new Hatsune Miku smartphone game targeting a Fall 2026 release. What Was the Pokémon × Hatsune Miku VOLTAGE Live! Concert?

Project VOLTAGE launched on 29 September 2023 as a landmark crossover between The Pokémon Company and Crypton Future Media: 18 songs, 18 Pokémon types, 18 different Vocaloid producers — each pairing Hatsune Miku with one Pokémon type in a full original track and music video. A follow-up arc, Project VOLTAGE High ↑, added more songs and artwork across 2024, making it one of the most expansive music collaborations in the franchise’s 30-year history.

VOLTAGE Live! — announced on 31 August 2025 as a second-anniversary celebration — took all of that into a physical arena. Six performances across three days (20–22 March 2026) at LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY in Funabashi City, with the evening show on 22 March streamed live on Abema. Virtual singers Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, and KAITO performed, with Kasane Teto joining as a special guest. A total of 39 Pokémon — including Pikachu and Meloetta — appeared alongside them across all 27 songs, marking what the official Project VOLTAGE X account called the first time in history that virtual singers and Pokémon performed together on the same stage.

What Is Inside the VOLTAGE Live! Blu-ray Special Edition

The Blu-ray captures the full evening setlist from 22 March — all 27 Project VOLTAGE songs — at approximately 118 minutes, encoded on a dual-layer disc with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1ch surround sound and Japanese lyric subtitles. The disc also includes a fixed-angle FULL STAGE! documentary cut, giving you an alternative wide-stage view of the entire performance.

The special edition bundle (特装盤) includes a substantial haul of physical extras:

How Singapore Fans Can Order the VOLTAGE Live! Blu-ray

There is no confirmed Singapore or Southeast Asia retail distribution for this release — it is a Japan market title published by JVC Music. The most straightforward import route is CDJapan, which ships internationally and currently lists pre-orders. At mid-August 2026 exchange rates ¥15,400 works out to roughly S$145–155 before shipping; EMS shipping to Singapore for a single Blu-ray package typically adds S$20–30 on top. CDJapan also notes a first-press bonus — a foil-stamped replica concert ticket — available on a first-come first-served basis while stocks last.

One point to flag: the main disc carries Japanese audio and Japanese lyric subtitles only, with no confirmed English subtitle track. For established PokéMiku fans that is unlikely to be a dealbreaker, but the 108-page MEMORIAL REPORT! book is also in Japanese, so the director commentary will require some translation effort for those who need it.

Magic: The Gathering is getting its first-ever Universes Beyond Commander deck, and Hatsune Miku is leading the charge. Wizards of the Coast revealed the Secret Lair Commander Deck: Hatsune Miku on 4 August, with the pre-order window opening at midnight SGT on 11 August — and closing just 24 hours later. If you miss the window, the deck is gone: this is a print-on-demand release with no planned reprint.

Having the original designer bring Miku into the MTG multiverse as a Universes Beyond card is a meaningful choice: this isn’t just licensed art, it’s as close to an official Miku origin print as you’ll find in a card game. Additional artists on the deck include Naoki Saito and Yaso (八三).

The Universes Beyond line lets characters from outside the MTG universe appear as fully canonical multiverse cards. Miku joins a line that has previously welcomed The Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, and Final Fantasy.

A New Product Format: The First Secret Lair Commander Deck

Until now, Secret Lair releases have been small booster-style sets — a handful of alternate-art reprints or Universes Beyond cards sold directly. The Hatsune Miku Commander Deck is the first Secret Lair product to be a full 100-card Commander deck, marking a new tier in the Secret Lair line.

Because it is print-on-demand, Wizards only produces units for confirmed orders placed during the 24-hour window. There is no secondary stock, no retail distribution, and no reprint planned. Once the window closes, the only way to get one will be the secondary market.

FuRyu was among the headline commercial exhibitors, dropping a concentrated burst of announcements ranging from a genuinely unusual Evangelion collaboration to lottery goods for Hatsune Miku and Haikyu!!. A party game built around her world has obvious local multiplayer appeal, especially for the Switch 2 crowd looking for co-op titles to round out their library.

If you’ve been waiting for Hatsune Miku to gate-crash the Metaverse, tomorrow’s your day. Persona 5: The Phantom X — the free-to-play mobile spin-off from Atlus and Perfect World — launches its Version 4.4 update globally on 25 June 2026, and the star of the show is everyone’s favourite virtual pop idol joining the Phantom Thieves for the game’s 1st anniversary celebration.

Miracle Concert — What Miku Brings to P5X

Hatsune Miku enters P5X as a Navigator character under the event banner Miracle Concert. Rather than dealing direct damage, Miku supports her party through music: she picks from a selection of three songs using her first and second skills, each granting different buffs to the team. After accumulating unique stacks over a few turns, she can spend them to grant the entire party two turns of free action — a powerful buff in longer encounters.

Outside of battles, the collab fills the in-game city of Shibuya with Miku branding — billboards, her songs in the background, and a selection of Hatsune Miku-themed furniture and decorations for your home base. There is also a rhythm minigame where you can play from a set of six songs across different difficulty levels, which should appeal to the VTuber-adjacent corner of Singapore’s gaming community.

Southeast Asian Server Gets the Update Simultaneously

One of the standout things about Version 4.4 is that all six regional servers — Mainland Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Global, and Southeast Asian — go live at the same time. If you are playing P5X on the SEA server, you will not be waiting for a delayed rollout. Everything from Miku’s character banner to the Miracle Concert event drops for everyone on the same day.

Persona 5: The Phantom X is free to download and play on Android, iOS, and PC. Hatsune Miku is obtainable through the game’s gacha system during the anniversary event period.

This is not Miku’s first encounter with the Persona franchise. Her design in P5X draws directly from her appearance in the 2015 rhythm game Persona 4: Dancing All Night, making her technically a returning face rather than a first-time guest. That crossover lineage adds some in-universe logic to the collab, even if it is a stretch to call the DECO*27-scored virtual idol a true Phantom Thief.

Alongside Miku, the 1st anniversary has brought a run of crossover characters in recent weeks — including Yukari Takeba from Persona 3 and the upcoming Akihiko Sanada — making this a strong time for lapsed players to log back in.

Hatsune Miku Official Shop in Akihabara: Is It Worth It?

If you follow Hatsune Miku, you’ve probably seen the photos: a whole building in Akihabara wrapped in Miku and the Kagamine twins, with a giant “HATSUNE MIKU OFFICIAL SHOP IN AKIBA” banner over the entrance. I went looking for it on a recent Tokyo trip — and the honest version is shorter than the hype. It’s real, it’s official, and it’s worth knowing exactly what you’re walking into before you build a day around it.

Quick verdict: it’s a permanent official Miku corner on Level 2 of Don Quijote Akihabara, not a flagship megastore. It’s compact — think one well-stocked section, not a multi-floor experience. Not worth a special trip across Tokyo on its own, but if you’re already in Akiba (and as a Miku fan, you will be), it’s an easy, fun stop that’s open around the clock.

Where it is and what makes it unusual

The shop sits on the 2nd floor (Level 2) of Don Quijote‘s Akihabara branch at 4-3-3 Sotokanda. Per the official Hatsune Miku blog (Japanese), the corner — branded “HATSUNE MIKU official shop in Akiba” — opened on 27 April 2024 as a permanent fixture.

That word “permanent” is the genuinely unusual part. Most official Miku retail in Japan is pop-up: limited-run fairs, anniversary booths, collab cafes that vanish after a few weeks. This one stays put. And because it lives inside a Don Quijote — Japan’s famously chaotic 24-hour discount chain — it inherits Donki’s hours. You can buy an official Nendoroid at 3am if that’s your life. I can’t think of another character shop where that’s true.

What’s actually inside

The space leans into the theme hard: a painted blue-sky ceiling, the full Crypton/Piapro cast on the walls — Miku, the Kagamine twins Rin and Len, Megurine Luka, plus KAITO and MEIKO — and a “HATSUNE MIKU OFFICIAL SHOP IN AKIBA” graphic running right across the floor. It photographs much bigger than it feels in person.

Stock-wise, it’s mostly the small, giftable stuff: acrylic keychains, badges, phone straps, folding fans, stationery, apparel and plush, alongside glass cases of scale figures and deformed (chibi) figures. When I visited, scale figures ran from around ¥6,273 (roughly S$55) up to the big premium display pieces at ¥30,000–¥38,000 (north of S$300). The everyday goods are far gentler on the wallet — this is a place you can walk out of with a ¥700 keychain and be happy.

The display cases of oversized deformed figures are a nice touch — they’re showpieces more than stock, and they make the corner feel like a proper official space rather than just a merch rack. A large designer figure (by illustrator CHANxCO) was on show when the shop first launched, per the official blog.

One thing to know: check Level 5 too

Here’s the bit that’s easy to miss. The Level 2 corner is the always-on permanent shop, but the same Don Quijote Akihabara periodically runs limited-time “Hatsune Miku Don Quijote Fair” collab events on a separate floor (Level 5), with newly drawn illustrations and fair-exclusive goods you won’t find downstairs. If you’re making the trip specifically for merch, it’s worth checking whether a fair is running during your dates — that’s where the collectible, time-limited items live.

What this means for Singapore fans

For SG Miku fans, the takeaway is simple: don’t fly in for this, but absolutely swing by if Akihabara is on your Tokyo itinerary — and it should be. Budget 15–20 minutes, go in expecting a tidy official corner rather than a flagship, and enjoy that you can drop in basically whenever, since it never really closes. The keychains, straps and stationery make easy souvenirs, and the prices on the small stuff are reasonable even before you factor in that there’s no equivalent permanent official Miku shop here at home.
