MASHLE Season 3: What the Tri-Magic-Athalon Arc Is
The full title is MASHLE: Magic and Muscles — Tri-Magic-Athalon Divine Visionary Final Exam Arc. If you have been keeping up with the manga, you know exactly how high the stakes climb here. The Tri-Magic-Athalon is a three-versus-three magical duel tournament that serves as the final selection process for the next Divine Visionaries — the most powerful mages in the land. It is, in other words, exactly the kind of nonsensically dangerous high-stakes event that Mash approaches with the same blank calm he uses to eat cream puffs.
Season 3 also formally introduces Domina Blowelive, a new antagonist who gets her own character visual in the teaser — and who looks designed to make Mash’s deadpan expression look even more deadpan by contrast.

Production: Same Core Team, One New Name
Director Tomoya Tanaka returns to A-1 Pictures alongside series composer Yōsuke Kuroda and music composer Masaru Yokoyama — so the production continuity that kept Seasons 1 and 2 looking and sounding consistent carries over. The one personnel change is the character designer: Chiaki Furuzumi — who served as sub-character designer on both seasons of Solo Leveling — steps in to replace Hisashi Higashijima. Judging by the teaser, the visual identity stays close to what fans know, but the full promotional run will be the real test.

What Arakawa Has Built Since Fullmetal Alchemist
Hiromu Arakawa needs little introduction to Singapore anime fans. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood remains one of the most beloved anime productions ever made, and Arakawa-sensei has been busy since: Yomi no Tsugai (黄泉のツガイ) has been serialised in Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen GanGan since 2021. The anime adaptation — announced in July 2025 and premiering on 4 April 2026 — has been worth every year of the wait.
The story follows twins Yuru and Asa, raised apart in an isolated mountain village that appears, at first, to exist in feudal-era Japan. Yuru is a skilled hunter; Asa has been confined indoors since childhood, assigned a mysterious duty by the village elders. When armed attackers descend hunting specifically for Yuru and kill the village adults, the siblings are forced to flee — whereupon the outside world reveals itself as entirely modern: helicopters, firearms, mobile phones, contemporary cities. The village’s isolation was deliberate, concealing both the twins and the ancient supernatural creatures they’re bonded with: the Daemons of the title. Cour 2’s key visual — stamped with the phrase “Defy your fate.” — suggests the reckoning with that hidden truth is about to arrive.

The Bones Film Team That Made Brotherhood

The production pedigree here is exceptional. Bones Film handles animation — the studio behind FMA: Brotherhood, My Hero Academia, and Soul Eater. Director Masahiro Ando worked on both the original 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist series and Brotherhood. Character design is by Nobuhiro Arai, who was part of the Brotherhood animation team. Series composition belongs to Noboru Takagi, whose credits include Attack on Titan, Golden Kamuy, and Kuroko’s Basketball. Music is composed by Kenichiro Suehiro (Vinland Saga, Chainsaw Man).
Voice cast highlights: Kensho Ono as Yuru, Yume Miyamoto as Asa, Misaki Kuno as the daemon Gabby, and Rikiya Koyama as Migi. An English dub launched simultaneously with the first cour on Crunchyroll.
New Themes Signal a Tonal Shift

Cour 2 arrives with a new pair of theme songs. “Back Shot” by Masanori Otoda takes over the opening slot from Vaundy’s Tobu Toki, and Kei Sugawara’s “Kujaku” (Peacock) closes episodes in place of Yama’s Tobō yo. Both were previewed in the Cour 2 main PV released on 27 June — and if the track choices are any indication, the back half of the season is going darker and harder than the first.
How to Watch Daemons of the Shadow Realm in Singapore

The first Bananya episode aired on 4 July 2016. Exactly ten years later — on 4 July 2026 at 10AM — the Bananya 10th Anniversary anime special will world-premiere at Anime Expo before landing on Crunchyroll on 9 July.
The official synopsis drops the Bananyas into an adventure: the player character wakes to find they’ve somehow become a Bananya themselves, then sets off through forest, mountain, and open land in search of missing treasures. It’s a fresh story that expands the lore while keeping the dreamy, low-stakes tone that made the original shorts such a cult favourite.

The Kagurabachi anime is making its global debut this week: the first 20 minutes of Episode 1 are being screened at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles today, Thursday 3 July — a full nine months before the series premieres on television in April 2027.

Chihiro Rokuhira: A Swordsmith’s Son on a Path of Revenge
Kagurabachi follows Chihiro Rokuhira, the son of a legendary swordsmith who sets out on a blood-soaked quest for vengeance after tragedy strikes his family. Armed with one of his father’s famed Enchanted Blades — a sentient weapon that manifests as a black goldfish when dormant — Chihiro navigates a world of sorcerers, criminal syndicates, and supernatural threats. The manga was created by Takeru Hokazono and has run in Weekly Shonen Jump since September 2023, selling over 4 million copies and winning the Next Manga Award 2024. The Studio and Creative Team
Animation is handled by Studio Cypic — the recently rebranded Cygames Pictures — with Tetsuya Takeuchi as director. The Apothecary Diaries is heading to cinemas. Japan gets the franchise’s first theatrical film on December 11, 2026 — the full title was confirmed today alongside a teaser trailer and the news that this is an entirely original story by the light novel’s own author.

What the Apothecary Diaries Movie Is About
The film’s full title is Gekijouban Kusuriya no Hitorigoto: Boki no Hihou (劇場版 薬屋のひとりごと 亡妃の秘宝) — The Apothecary Diaries: The Secret Treasure of the Deceased Consort. Unlike many anime films that adapt an existing arc, this one is an original story conceived by the franchise’s own light novel author, Natsu Hyuga.
The plot follows Maomao and Jinshi as they travel south to return the remains of a concubine who died in the imperial palace five years earlier to her homeland. They arrive in Minanzhou (未南州), a lively water city, and find themselves tangled up in secrets surrounding the consort’s preserved body, a hidden treasure buried somewhere in the city’s waterways, and a band of water pirates who are very much part of the story. The announcement tagline promises this is the series’ largest mystery yet.

New Character: Muqing, Voiced by Mariya Ise
Aoi Yuki (Maomao) and Takeo Otsuka (Jinshi) both return in their lead roles. Joining them is a new character: Muqing (沐清), a young boy described as holding the key to the mystery at the heart of the film. He is voiced by Mariya Ise, a veteran anime voice actress well known among Singapore fans for her roles as Killua Zoldyck in Hunter x Hunter and Levy McGarden in Fairy Tail. Muqing appears closely tied to the deceased consort’s clan, and the announcement suggests his backstory drives much of the film’s second half.

Norihiro Naganuma — who directed Season 1 and served as chief director on Season 2 — returns to helm the film. That continuity is reassuring. White Fox’s fourth season launched on 8 April 2026 with the Loss Arc (喪失編) — eleven crushing episodes set in the Watergate City of Priestella. Subaru and his allies clashed with the Archbishops of Gluttony and Lust, emerging with a fractured victory that cost them dearly: Rem fell into an unending sleep under the Authority of Gluttony, Crusch lost her memories entirely, and Julius’s very name was devoured from the minds of everyone who knew him. Subaru himself came out the other side suffering from amnesia.
The Loss Arc concluded on 17 June 2026 and all eleven episodes are on Crunchyroll right now — perfect for Singapore viewers who need to catch up before the Recapture Arc drops in August.
The Recapture Arc — “Take it back, no matter what”
The new key visual, revealed on 17 June, says everything about the shift in tone. Subaru surges upward with his arms outstretched and desperation on his face, surrounded by Emilia, Beatrice, Ram, Echidna, and the rest of the cast — while Rem, still lost in her unending sleep, sits quietly in the lower right corner. The warm, golden palette of library-lit amber couldn’t be further from the cracked, shadowed blue of the Loss Arc’s ominous “Who are you?” poster.
The Recapture Arc (奪還編) covers Arc 6 of Tappei Nagatsuki’s original light novels and runs for 8 episodes (Episodes 12–19). Subaru’s mission leads him into the Auguria Dunes — a vast and unforgiving desert that stands as the only path to the Pleiades Watchtower, where the Sage Shaula may hold the key to reversing the catastrophic damage wrought by the Archbishops of Gluttony.

To mark the end of the Loss Arc, the official Re:ZERO channel released a studio performance video of “Stay Alive ~Regain~” — a new rendition of the beloved Season 1 ending theme, now performed by Emilia’s voice actress Rie Takahashi. Written, composed and arranged by Heart’s Cry, the track became available on digital platforms from 18 June 2026.

It’s the first time Takahashi has performed the song in character since Season 1 — and the weight of that decade shows. The Eris Training Arc — Season 3 shifts its focus
Season 3 places Eris Boreas Greyrat firmly in the spotlight. The second promotional video, subtitled “Eris Training Arc” (エリス修行編), and the official Season 3 key visual both centre on the fiery red-haired swordswoman — a narrative move that fans of the light novel and manga have long been waiting to see fully realised on screen. Rudeus Greyrat remains the series’ anchor, but Eris’s journey toward the rank of Sword King is the beating heart of this new chapter.
The season’s ending theme, “祈り、終われば” (“When the Prayer Ends”), is performed by Mika Nakashima — a veteran Japanese pop singer known internationally for Nana and numerous J-pop releases. The choice suggests an emotional tone to match Eris’s arc.

Studio Bind returns with the same core team
Studio Bind returns as the animation studio, with Ryosuke Shibuya directing — the same pairing that has maintained the series’ visual identity across Seasons 1 and 2. The original light novel by Rifujin na Magonote spanned 24 volumes and became one of the defining works of the post-2010 isekai generation. Bind’s adaptation has been methodical and consistently high quality; Season 3 is expected to continue that standard.

The advanced two-episode premiere airs on 4 July (Saturday) via ABEMA and d Anime Store at 8:00pm JST, which is 7:00pm SGT. Episode 2 follows at 8:30pm JST (7:30pm SGT). The regular weekly terrestrial broadcast begins 5 July (Sunday) on Tokyo MX and satellite channels including BS11.
Streaming rights outside Japan had not been formally confirmed at time of writing. Seasons 1 and 2 of Mushoku Tensei were available on Crunchyroll in Singapore and the rest of Southeast Asia, and Season 3 is widely expected to follow the same path — but keep an eye on a Crunchyroll announcement for confirmation. The Spade Kingdom Raid Arc — Where the Story Goes

Season 2 picks up where Season 1 left off in 2021: the Clover Kingdom’s Magic Knights launching their all-out assault on the Spade Kingdom to rescue Captain Yami and William Vangeance. Asta’s Devil Union with Liebe — teased extensively in the trailers — is the centrepiece of the new season’s power scaling, alongside Yuno’s Spirit Dive and Nacht’s Devil Unite techniques.
Unlike the original run, there’s no concern about the anime outpacing the source material. Tabata’s manga wrapped up after over 11 years of serialisation, which means the production team has the full story to work with — a significant advantage that should translate into a tighter, more purposeful adaptation.

The original series was available in Singapore via both Crunchyroll and Amazon Prime Video, so Prime Video or another regional service is the most likely home for Season 2 in our market. One Piece Heroines Arrives 5 July — Nami Gets Her Own Story
The most eye-catching addition to the Crunchyroll Summer 2026 anime calendar for SEA is ONE PIECE HEROINES, a spinoff from Toei Animation that puts the spotlight on the women of the Straw Hat crew. The first story centres on Nami: after buying a pair of shoes that hurt her feet, she tracks down designer Lebno — who offers to craft her a bespoke pair, but only if she will model for him. Artisan Miucha completes the trio in what sounds like a character-driven style adventure sitting apart from the main Elbaph arc. It premieres on 5 July with a Thai dub, plus subtitles in Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, and Vietnamese.

Iron Wok Jan! Is Finally an Anime — Crunchyroll-Exclusive for SEA

If one announcement from this wave deserves its own headline, it is Iron Wok Jan! The original manga ran from 1995 to 2000 and has sold over 10 million copies — a ferocious Chinese-cuisine battle story following Jan Akiyama, a devilish chef who treats every cook-off like armed combat. It is the kind of series that defined a generation of cooking-manga fans, and an anime adaptation has been a long time coming. TROYCA, the studio behind Re:CREATORS and Aldnoah.Zero, is handling it, and even the teaser PV radiates the unhinged energy of the source material.
This one is a Crunchyroll exclusive for SEA, premiering on 5 July with subtitles in Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Thai, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese — solid coverage for Singapore viewers, including the bilingual and Mandarin-reading crowd that the original manga spoke directly to.

Let’s Go KAIKIGUMI and 100 Girlfriends Also Hit on 5 July

Two more titles round out the Sunday 5 July drop. Let’s go KAIKIGUMI (C-Station) is a Crunchyroll exclusive supernatural comedy about a man described as being six times more afraid of ghosts than the average person, who gets roped in by the fearless Mechako to help revive her ghost-policing organisation. Subs cover Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Thai, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
Also returning that same day: The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You Season 3 (Bibury Animation Studios). Rentaro’s school life continues — and so does the show’s commitment to somehow adding more characters to an already packed ensemble. This one streams with a Thai dub alongside the full multilingual sub lineup.

Grand Blue Dreaming Season 3 Goes to Palau — Starting 6 July

Monday 6 July brings Grand Blue Dreaming Season 3 (Zero-G and Liber), and Iori’s diving-club chaos now has an international venue: Palau. Just as he is getting his head around university life, his cousin drags him off to help run a dive shop on the island. If you have seen seasons one and two, you already know what “help run a dive shop” means in this show. The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects on 10 July
Closing out the wave on 10 July is The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects (animation studio42). Veteran soldier Dias returns from war expecting a reward, gets gifted a domain that turns out to be empty plains with a population of literally zero, and has to figure out how to build a thriving territory from nothing — with the help of a horned girl named Alna who knows the land better than she lets on. A kingdom-building fantasy with an unusually grounded hook, streaming with Thai dub and subs in Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Vietnamese, SC, and TC.
