After a year of teasers and a July cameo in Kamen Rider Zeztz’s Farewell Mission, the franchise’s eighth Reiwa-era entry has arrived: Kamen Rider My-Th premiered on 6 September 2026 on TV Asahi in Japan — and it debuts the very first mouse-themed lead Rider in the franchise’s 55-year history.
A Butler, a Promise, and a Silver Rider

Ikuho Akiya plays Sora Otosumi, a devoted personal butler to the Mizuki family — multi-talented, cool under pressure, and now unexpectedly thrust into a supernatural war. Using the My-Th Driver and egg-shaped transformation items called Ride Eggs, Sora becomes the silver mouse-armoured Kamen Rider My-Th.
His charge, high-schooler Yuna Mizuki (Riko Horikawa), launches a “Mysterious Case Study Group” to investigate the monsters and Riders appearing around them — giving the series a fun investigative thread alongside its action.
The tagline frames the mythology: “Awakening from a Century’s Slumber. People’s wishes endure, and a falling star becomes a MYTH.” My-Th itself is a being that supposedly does not exist — yet carves out the future and eventually becomes legend.
The Zodiac Alliance — and the Cat Riders
The story centres on the Zyunishi Doumei (Twelve Zodiac Alliance), a team of Kamen Riders based on the Chinese Zodiac. A century ago they fought monstrous creatures called the Fukashigi before going into hibernation. Now both sides have re-awakened in the modern world, and Sora finds himself in the middle of a conflict he never asked for.
The cat-and-mouse dynamic is entirely literal. Rival Riders Kamen Rider MAOU (Keisuke Higashi) and Kamen Rider RID are cat-themed, creating a built-in predator-prey tension. Further Alliance members include Tigre (Shunya Kaneko), Jyao (Kosei Tsubokura) and the speed-focused Datt (Nanako Ando).

A Top-Tier Creative Team
Head writer Naruhisa Arakawa is one of the most celebrated names in tokusatsu. His credits span Kamen Rider Kuuga — the series that relaunched the franchise for the Heisei era — through to Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger and Mashin Sentai Kiramager. Action direction is handled by Satoshi Fujita, while LDH unit THE RAMPAGE provide the theme song “One Shot.”
The show also introduces a franchise milestone: My-Th’s transformation device sits on the chest rather than the waist — a design innovation from Kamen Rider Zeztz — and for the first time in Kamen Rider history, a chest-belt Rider goes up directly against classic waist-belt Riders.
Singapore and SEA Streaming
Kamen Rider My-Th airs Sundays at 9am JST on TV Asahi in Japan. No international streaming deal has been confirmed at premiere. However, the franchise’s back catalogue — all 146 prior Kamen Rider productions — landed on Prime Video Japan in August, a sign that Toei is actively expanding digital access. Watch for Crunchyroll or similar announcements in the coming weeks.
Singapore’s tokusatsu community has always been engaged: whether through import screenings, local cosplay events or the broader manga-anime fan scene, this new series is already generating buzz. The Chinese Zodiac theme — central to Southeast Asian culture — gives My-Th an extra hook beyond the usual franchise appeal.
