The official teaser trailer, released on the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE YouTube channel, showed emblems from each of the three modern Persona titles — the Phantom Thieves’ burning-hat symbol from Persona 5, alongside imagery from Persona 4 and Persona 3. As Persona Central reported, the trailer ends on a fourth slide with nothing but a question mark — leaving the door open for an additional Atlus IP, whether that means earlier Persona entries, Catherine, or Metaphor: ReFantazio.

The video was briefly published on the official NIKKE channel before being taken down, but the collaboration is confirmed: multiple outlets captured it, and the emblems shown are unmistakably real.

2026 is Persona’s 30th anniversary year — the original Revelations: Persona launched in Japan in September 1996. Atlus has been marking the milestone all year, and NIKKE is clearly part of that plan. Persona 5: The Phantom X — the free-to-play mobile spin-off from Atlus and Perfect World — launches its Version 4.4 update globally on 25 June 2026, and the star of the show is everyone’s favourite virtual pop idol joining the Phantom Thieves for the game’s 1st anniversary celebration.

Miracle Concert — What Miku Brings to P5X

Hatsune Miku enters P5X as a Navigator character under the event banner Miracle Concert. Rather than dealing direct damage, Miku supports her party through music: she picks from a selection of three songs using her first and second skills, each granting different buffs to the team. After accumulating unique stacks over a few turns, she can spend them to grant the entire party two turns of free action — a powerful buff in longer encounters.

Outside of battles, the collab fills the in-game city of Shibuya with Miku branding — billboards, her songs in the background, and a selection of Hatsune Miku-themed furniture and decorations for your home base. There is also a rhythm minigame where you can play from a set of six songs across different difficulty levels, which should appeal to the VTuber-adjacent corner of Singapore’s gaming community.

Southeast Asian Server Gets the Update Simultaneously

One of the standout things about Version 4.4 is that all six regional servers — Mainland Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Global, and Southeast Asian — go live at the same time. If you are playing P5X on the SEA server, you will not be waiting for a delayed rollout. Everything from Miku’s character banner to the Miracle Concert event drops for everyone on the same day.

What’s New in Persona 4 Revival?

This is not just a visual upgrade — Atlus is rebuilding the combat and interface from the ground up. Here are the biggest changes from Persona 4 Golden:

  • Baton Pass: The fan-favourite system from Persona 5 Royal makes the jump to Inaba, letting you transfer your turn to another party member after scoring a critical hit or targeting an enemy weakness.
  • Prime Time: A new charge gauge fills as you land consecutive hits. When it maxes out, SP costs disappear and the sequence ends in a high-damage finishing strike.
  • Series Finales: Each party member gets a unique, powerful personal finisher — similar in concept to P3 Reload’s Theurgy attacks, but built around Inaba’s cast.
  • Enemy Collision: Status-afflicted enemies can be knocked into each other, spreading the ailment and dealing bonus damage — a satisfying new tactical layer.
  • Dungeon Defence: A guard option in the TV World dungeons can block enemy ambushes, adding a new way to manage exploration risk.
  • Simplified UI: One button per ability replaces the original’s scrolling menus. Fully animated cutscenes replace the static visual-novel-style cinematics throughout.

On the audio side: the entire English voice cast has been replaced for the remake. New vocalist Shiori Sasaki and composer Ryota Kozuka are handling the soundtrack.

P-STUDIO director Kazuhisa Wada said of the launch: “As we take this next step, we are thrilled the launch date is set for Persona 4 Revival and fans get to encounter a fresh and modernized experience as they discover the mysteries hidden in Inaba,” as quoted by RPGSite.

What We Know About Persona 4 Revival

Announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 earlier this month, Persona 4 Revival is a full remake of the beloved 2008 RPG (and its expanded Golden edition). The launch window is 18 February 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam), with day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass. There is no Nintendo Switch 2 version announced.

New Battle Mechanics

Atlus has already teased two headline changes to the combat system:

  • Shadow Collision System — Normal attacks on enemies suffering from a status ailment send them flying into nearby Shadows, spreading the ailment. It rewards smart status management and opens up satisfying chain reactions.
  • Prime Time Gauge — Fill this gauge and you unlock a supercharged window: consecutive actions, zero skill costs, ignored resistances, and free Baton Pass usage, all capped off by a powerful finishing move. Think of it as P4R‘s answer to Persona 3 Reload‘s Theurgy system.

The team is also carrying over the Baton Pass mechanic from Persona 5, letting party members chain attacks after a knock-down — a quality-of-life addition that veterans of P5 will appreciate.

Multiple editions are confirmed (Singapore pricing to be confirmed; UK reference prices ranged from £64.99 for the Standard Digital to £84.99 for the Digital Premium and £244.99 for the Physical Collector’s Edition with artbook, steelbook, statue, and keycaps). Pre-ordering in any edition unlocks bonus BGM tracks from Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Royal.

What Is Metaphor: ReFantazio?

If the name rings a bell, it is because Metaphor: ReFantazio was arguably the RPG story of 2024. Created by Atlus Studio Zero — the same team behind Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 — it is a fantasy RPG set in a kingdom torn apart by political intrigue and ancient curses, where a young hero and his fairy companion Gallica journey across a vast world to lift the curse afflicting the lost prince.

The critical reception was exceptional: a 94 on Metacritic, sales of one million copies on its opening day (making it Atlus’s fastest-ever launch), and a clean sweep of the major RPG awards at The Game Awards — Best Role-Playing Game, Best Narrative, and Best Art Direction. Metaphor ReFantazio Switch 2 — What’s New?

The Switch 2 version is a native port rather than a backwards-compatibility carry-over. Footage shown during the Nintendo Direct demonstrated the game running on the hardware, and the results look strong — Metaphor’s distinctive storybook-meets-fantasy art direction is well-suited to a portable display, and the Switch 2’s horsepower should allow it to run cleanly at higher frame rates than the original Switch could have managed.
