Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition went live immediately after yesterday’s Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct. As we covered when the remake was announced, this special-edition hardware drops on 29 October 2026 — one week ahead of the Ocarina of Time remake — and now that pre-order pages are live in the US, we have full pricing and design details to share.
What’s in the Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 Bundle?
The entire console set is dressed in dark forest green, with gold Triforce motifs on the Joy-Con 2 controllers, the dock, and the back panel of the system. Gold and silver triangles adorn the console’s back face — a subtle nod to the Triforce’s three-part structure. It is a restrained, premium look rather than an over-branded one.

- Joy-Con 2 controllers — dark green with Triforce imprint

Two matching accessories release on the same day, 29 October 2026:
- Pro Controller – Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition (US$99.99): Black base with dark green grips, gold Triforce face button and Hylian crest — one of the sharpest Pro Controller designs Nintendo has produced. A version bundled with an acrylic display stand is available exclusively at Nintendo New York and Nintendo San Francisco.
- Carrying Case and Screen Protector – Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition (US$39.99): Black with a dark Triforce pattern, protective foam interior.

Pre-orders are live in the US at Best Buy and on the Nintendo Store online. Note that the Japan-market version (priced at ¥62,980) is explicitly listed as a Japanese-Language System and sold in Japan only — it is not the unit you want to import into Singapore. The US and European versions are the international releases to watch for.
What Singapore Switch 2 Players Should Do Now
Singapore has no confirmed pre-order date or local pricing yet. However, Nintendo’s major hardware launches have consistently reached local major game retailers and electronics chains within a short window of the global release. Given the 29 October date, a Singapore announcement could reasonably arrive in the next week or two.
If you already own a Switch 2 and are a Zelda fan, the Pro Controller at US$99.99 is worth watching — it is a standalone cosmetic upgrade with no need to replace a working console.
