The stream goes live at 10:00 PM SGT on 9 September 2026 — midnight for our friends in Sydney, 11PM in Manila and KL. Nintendo streams for free on the Nintendo of America YouTube channel with no account or subscription needed. The Nintendo Today! app also carries the broadcast, and a replay is posted immediately after so you can catch up if you doze off. Expect around 45 minutes of rapid-fire trailers.
Switch 2 Games Confirmed or Expected
Nintendo has been more explicit than usual about what this Direct covers: Switch 2 games landing this winter. Several titles are already date-stamped and will likely get a final spotlight:
- Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave — launches 17 September 2026, just eight days away. Expect a lengthy final trailer or a character showcase.
- Nintendo Switch Sports Resort — 22 October 2026. The Switch 2 exclusive spiritual successor is confirmed; tonight may reveal more activities and pricing.
- Minecraft Switch 2 Edition with Vibrant Visuals — arrives 27 October 2026 with native Switch 2 performance.
- Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Switch 2 Edition — both targeting December; anticipate release-date locks tonight.
Beyond the confirmed lineup, Nintendo has been sitting on several rumoured first-party titles — including a new 2D Metroid (Ravenous), The Duskbloods, and a potential Mario Sluggers revival. Whether any of those arrive tonight is the real question mark keeping Switch 2 owners awake.
After the Direct: Nintendo Treehouse Live
Once the main show wraps around 10:45 PM SGT, Nintendo Treehouse Live kicks in with extended gameplay deep-dives of select announced titles.
