Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered Launches 1 October — Classic Hack-and-Slash Returns

The hack-and-slash that millions of Singaporeans remember clearing on PS2 is about to land on every current platform — remastered, expanded and ready for a new generation. Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered launches globally on 1 October 2026 on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, marking 25 years since the original changed what a Warriors game could be.

Two games in one package

The Complete Edition bundles both the original Dynasty Warriors 3 and its Xtreme Legends expansion into a single purchase. That means the full base roster plus the extra officers, unique stages, and hard-mode scenarios from Xtreme Legends — more than 40 officers in total — all in one box (or digital download). The remaster updates the visuals and controls while keeping the large-scale battlefield chaos that made the series so compulsively replayable.

New mechanics join the classic formula

Four new systems update the combat without overhauling it. Evasion adds a proper dodge roll — a series first — and a well-timed dodge triggers a Just Evasion counterattack window. Perfect Power Guard replaces the old block timing with a rewarding parry. The new Weapon Fusion system lets you combine gear to transfer skills and elemental effects between weapons, giving the loot loop a light RPG layer that players of Dynasty Warriors: Origins will find familiar.

Speaking of Origins: its protagonist Ziluan joins the cast as a guest officer. Ziluan brings a moveset tuned around their unique Twin Pike style, and their presence adds a set of new challenging scenarios designed around that playstyle — a reason to revisit even if you have all the classic officers memorised.

Split-screen co-op is back

Offline two-player split-screen returns across Musou, Free and VS modes. For Singapore players who spent school holidays clearing stages side by side on a small TV, that alone is worth the price of entry. True Musou Attacks also make a return, letting you unleash the full-screen super when you need a bail-out against an officer who won’t quit.

Pre-ordering before 30 September 2026 nets you the Retro-Style Red Hare Saddle — a cosmetic item for Red Hare, the legendary mount veterans will remember sprinting across battle maps. The bonus is available on all platforms through the respective storefronts.

If you are travelling to Japan next month, Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered is one of five Koei Tecmo titles confirmed playable at Tokyo Game Show 2026 (17–21 September, Makuhari Messe), alongside Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember and Atelier Karia. The TGS public days run 19–21 September.

Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos Remaster Announced for PS5 and Switch

If Croc was a part of your PS1 childhood, Argonaut Games just gave you another reason to smile. Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos — the 1999 sequel to the multi-million-selling original — is being remastered for modern platforms, and the announcement trailer is already out. This follows Argonaut’s 2025 remaster of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, meaning the little green croc is now a full franchise revival.

Croc 2 Is Getting the Full Remaster Treatment

The remaster picks up right where the 2025 original left off. Croc 2 expands the world considerably: instead of one island, you now roam a mainland split into four distinct villages — the coastal Sailor Village, the wintry Cossack Village, the prehistoric Caveman Village, and the mountaintop Inca Village. Captured Gobbos are scattered throughout, and Swap Meet Pete’s General Store returns to sell handy gadgets and teleport you between villages.

The move set has been updated too. Croc’s classic jumps and tail-spin are back, joined by a new triple jump that gives extra height in trickier sections. But the bigger addition is the sheer variety of how you get around: car races, speedboat sections, minecart runs, hang gliding, and even an airplane sequence are all in the mix across 40-plus levels of open-ended 3D platforming.

New bosses make their debut, including Soveena the Squid (whose ginger soda fixation makes her a coastal menace), Cannon Boat Keith (a skeleton-crewed pirate captain), and Flavio the Thermal Fish (who spits scalding water). The game promises updated visuals that preserve the original’s charm while modernising the look for current displays.

The Croc2pedia and Behind-the-Scenes Museum

A highlight of the original remaster was its digital museum, and Croc 2 goes further with the Croc2pedia: a curated archive of full game design documentation, marketing assets, promotional merchandise, animation test videos, and 3D model galleries of characters, levels, and items that were cut from the original shipped game. Interviews with original Argonaut team members, remaster developers, and producers are also included. For anyone curious about how a classic 90s 3D platformer actually came together, this is a genuine treat.

Platforms — But No Release Date Yet

Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos is confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. No release date has been announced. Singapore gamers with a PS5 or Nintendo Switch will be able to play it, and given that the original Croc remaster launched simultaneously across platforms in 2025, a simultaneous release seems likely here too. We will update when pricing and a release window are confirmed.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas Remasters Confirmed — Bethesda Also Puts Fallout 5 in Pre-Production

Bethesda Game Studios has been busy. In a sweeping studio update published today (17 July 2026), the developer confirmed it is actively developing remasters of both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas — two of the most beloved entries in the franchise — and officially acknowledged that Fallout 5 is now in pre-production. For fans in Singapore who got pulled into the Wasteland through Amazon’s hit TV series, or who grew up with the originals back in the day, there is a lot to unpack.

What Bethesda Officially Confirmed Today

The studio’s update touched on every major franchise in its portfolio, but the Fallout segment drew the most attention. Bethesda confirmed three active Fallout projects beyond the live-service Fallout 76:

  • Fallout 3 Remaster — in active development at Bethesda Game Studios
  • Fallout: New Vegas Remaster — in development, with Obsidian Entertainment (the studio that made the original) involved
  • Fallout 5 — officially in pre-production, described by Bethesda as the franchise’s “long-range destination”

Bethesda was candid about what it is not yet ready to share: “While we’re not announcing any dates today, we have been working on remasters for both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.” No platforms, no release windows. Industry reporter Jason Schreier has suggested Fallout 3’s remaster is targeting a 2027 window, but that remains unconfirmed by Bethesda itself.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas Remasters — What We Know So Far

Fallout 3 (2008) set the open-world blueprint for the modern Fallout era, dropping players into a post-nuclear Washington D.C. with a memorable story and a atmosphere that still holds up. Fallout: New Vegas (2010), developed by Obsidian, is widely regarded as the writing high point of the series — its faction-driven narrative and dense worldbuilding have a devoted following across Southeast Asia. Both games have been unavailable on current-generation hardware through official storefronts, making these remasters genuinely welcome news for anyone who missed the originals or wants to revisit them on a modern TV.

The involvement of Obsidian in the New Vegas remaster is particularly significant. Rather than Bethesda overhauling a game it did not originally build, the original creative team is back — raising hopes that the remaster will be sympathetic to what made New Vegas special rather than rebuilding it in a new engine from scratch.

Fallout 5 and the Creation Engine 3 Future

Fallout 5 is early pre-production, which in practice means it is not Bethesda’s day-to-day focus right now — The Elder Scrolls VI holds that position. “Fallout 5 remains our long-range destination,” the studio stated. Both TESVI and Fallout 5 are being built on Creation Engine 3, Bethesda’s next-generation internal toolset, which the studio says is designed to let multiple teams develop multiple games simultaneously. That explains how the developer can be working on four Fallout projects at various stages without TESVI slipping further.

Obsidian’s New Game, the TV Show Surge, and the Bigger Picture

Today’s announcement builds on what we covered last week: Obsidian is developing a separate, all-new Fallout title — distinct from the New Vegas remaster — which Bethesda also reaffirmed in today’s update. That means the franchise now has potentially four projects in development simultaneously, a level of investment unseen since the early 2010s.

The timing is notable. This studio-wide roadmap arrived less than two weeks after Xbox announced workforce reductions affecting over 400 Bethesda and ZeniMax employees. The update reads, in part, as a reassurance that the franchise pipeline remains intact. Bethesda also confirmed Fallout 4 has crossed 35 million copies sold; Fallout 76 will receive a major new expansion called Raven Rock in 2027, a prequel story set in the same D.C. Capital Wasteland as Fallout 3; and that Season 3 of the Amazon TV series is in production following Season 2’s ten Emmy nominations.

For Singapore gamers who discovered Fallout through the TV series — which was one of Prime Video’s biggest global launches — the remasters offer a natural next step into the source material. Fallout 3 in particular holds up as one of the best single-player RPGs of its generation, and a remaster on PS5 or current-gen hardware would make that leap far more accessible.
