Avengers: Doomsday arrives on December 18, 2026, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo (returning after Infinity War and Endgame), and running 165 minutes. The film assembles the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Wakandans, and Thunderbolts against Robert Downey Jr.‘s Doctor Doom — and the Hall H footage made it clear this is not the Iron Man audiences knew. As described by GamesRadar, the screened clip opens on Doom seated on his throne as Vanessa Kirby‘s Sue Storm tells him he is “broken as a person.” Pedro Pascal‘s Reed Richards confirmed to the crowd that his character and Doom share a history that will be explored in the film. Chris Evans is back as Steve Rogers, with Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor using Mjolnir to confirm his identity in a scene shown to Hall H. Hayley Atwell is also confirmed in the cast. On the post-Doomsday slate: Avengers: Endgame Encore hits theatres on September 25, 2026, with a theatrical re-run that includes an exclusive look at Doomsday footage — a warm-up for the December event. Avengers: Secret Wars, the follow-up, is locked for December 17, 2027.

Black Panther III: A New King Steps Up

Black Panther III is official, with director Ryan Coogler returning and David Jonsson stepping in as the new Black Panther — playing T’Challa’s son, who takes up the mantle. God of War: Laufey puts you in control of Faye (voiced by Deborah Ann Woll), Kratos’s Norse wife who unexpectedly awakens in the Everywhen — the afterlife of the gods — following her funeral. Something has put the carefully laid plans she made for Kratos and Atreus at risk, and she must fight through a realm where ruthless deities from every mythology compete for power.

Gameplay builds on the framework of God of War Ragnarök but centres on Faye’s speed and precision rather than Kratos’s raw force. She wields a legendary sword and channels soul energy as the Golden Hand of the Jötnar. Game Director Ariel Lawrence has described the combat as blending the mobility of the Greek-era games with the world depth of the Norse chapters — a distinct identity rather than a cosmetic reskin.

Full Voice Cast Revealed at SDCC 2026

Cory Barlog Confirms a Kratos Sequel Is Coming

The single biggest reveal from the SDCC panel wasn’t the release date — it was Barlog publicly confirming that a separate, Kratos-led God of War is in active development at Santa Monica Studio and will follow directly from Laufey’s story. As reported by Video Games Chronicle, Barlog said: “Everything we are doing in the Faye game is a continuation of what came before and to set up and expand what comes next.”

No title or window was given for the Kratos follow-up, but the framing makes God of War: Laufey a genuine narrative bridge rather than a side story — the events of this game will directly shape what Kratos faces next.

February 2027 on PS5 — What Singapore Fans Need to Know

The 16 February 2027 date puts God of War: Laufey squarely in the middle of what is already shaping up as a heavy Q1 2027 for PS5. The game is a PS5 exclusive with no PC or Xbox release announced — if you haven’t upgraded yet, this alongside a growing slate of PlayStation exclusives makes the case hard to ignore.

Pricing has not been confirmed, but expect the standard Singapore PS5 first-party price point when Sony announces closer to launch. What Is Blade Runner 2099?

Set 50 years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, the story plants us in a reborn Los Angeles in the year 2099 — rebuilt not by humanity, but by replicants. The official synopsis: in a city of towering holograms and neon-noir dystopia, Cora (Hunter Schafer), a human fugitive making one last desperate play to stop running, takes on a new identity as a Blade Runner. She partners with Olwen (Michelle Yeoh), a seasoned Blade Runner replicant with days left to live, as the two investigate a widening conspiracy rooted in the city’s darkest sins.

The teaser — unveiled at Hall H to a crowd of over 6,500 — gives a first look at the Syd Mead-inspired visual language of this 2099 Los Angeles: rusted skylines, cascading neon, and spinner-like vehicles cutting through smog-choked canyons. It is unmistakably Blade Runner.

The Creative Team Behind It

The series was developed by showrunner Silka Luisa, best known for her work on Amazon’s Shining Girls. Ridley Scott — director of the original 1982 Blade Runner — serves as executive producer, lending the project a direct line of creative continuity. Jonathan van Tulleken directs the opening two episodes. The ensemble cast is stacked: alongside Yeoh and Schafer, the supporting lineup includes Sheila Atim, Tom Burke, Matthew Needham, Daniel Rigby, Lewis Gribben, and more. Alcon Entertainment — the same production house that financed Blade Runner 2049 — is back on board, giving the project real franchise lineage.

Marvel Rivals Gets a Free Age of Ultron PvE Mode on 30 July

NetEase Games unveiled the next chapter of Marvel Rivals’ “Path to Doomsday” event at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 on Thursday — a free co-op PvE mode themed around Avengers: Age of Ultron, dropping in-game on 30 July 2026. Singapore players can jump in without any paywall.

Avengers Tower Under Siege

The mode, officially titled “Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Age of Ultron,” sends teams of players against Ultron’s mechanical army across two locations: Avengers Tower and Ultron’s Data Space. According to Beebom’s coverage of the SDCC panel, the in-game storyline opens with the Ultron Virus breaching Avengers Tower, corrupting F.R.I.D.A.Y. and unleashing a relentless swarm of sentries. The new Avengers Tower map is exclusive to this PvE event and will not appear in standard PvP playlists.

New MCU-Inspired Costumes

Three new costumes inspired by Marvel Studios films arrive with the update, as shown at the SDCC booth:

  • Scarlet Witch — Avengers: Age of Ultron outfit
  • Ultron — Avengers: Age of Ultron armour variant
  • Winter Soldier — Captain America: The Winter Soldier look

A physical merchandise line was also revealed: Mattel’s Jeff the Land Shark 12” plush ships with an in-game costume code, while a Hot Toys Luna Snow 1/6 scale figure includes a “Mirae 2026” in-game skin code. “Path to Doomsday” Continues in December

The Age of Ultron mode is Chapter 2 of Marvel Rivals’ ongoing “Path to Doomsday” event. NetEase confirmed at SDCC that additional game modes and in-game events are planned for December 2026 — timed to coincide with Avengers: Doomsday’s theatrical release on 18 December. More details are expected closer to the film’s launch window.

Singapore fans who followed Marvel Rivals Season 9’s Jubilee arc will see the Doomsday roadmap as the biggest in-game story event the game has run so far. Bit Reactor brought the complete roster to SDCC on Friday, and the names alone make a compelling case for what is shaping up as one of the more interesting strategy games of the year.

The headline reveal is the dual-protagonist approach. And DC Douglas — best known as Albert Wesker in Resident Evil — voicing a droid called Meevo is precisely the unexpected casting choice that makes a character roster interesting.

What Kind of Game Is Zero Company?

Bit Reactor is a studio founded by Firaxis veterans, and Zero Company is their take on the turn-based tactics genre with a Star Wars skin that goes much deeper than cosmetic. This is not a squad-shooter — it is a game in the XCOM mould: you control Hawks and up to three squad mates on tile-based maps, manage action points, use cover, and chain ability combos that unlock the longer your squad members bond with each other.

Between missions you operate from The Den, a base that levels up, where you run intelligence operations and deepen bonds between squad members to unlock synergy abilities in the field. The story is an original Clone Wars-era narrative: Hawks is a disgraced Republic officer who assembles an unconventional crew — mercenaries, specialists, and the odd morally-grey droid — to hunt Kundri Fathom’s Infinite Coil separatist cult across the galaxy.

Platforms, Pricing and Singapore Availability

Star Wars: Zero Company launches 27 August 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and the EA App). It is published by EA under the Lucasfilm Games label, which means it should land in Singapore without region restrictions — check the Singapore PlayStation Store and Steam at launch for SGD pricing. A Deluxe Edition with additional content is also available for pre-order.

Avatar: Seven Havens — First Trailer Drops, Oct 9 Premiere

The Avatar franchise’s next chapter finally has a face. Avatar: Seven Havens dropped its official teaser trailer at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 on Thursday, revealing an October 9 premiere on Paramount+ and introducing Pavi — the Earthbending successor to Korra — along with a startling twin-Avatar twist that sets the new series apart from everything that came before.

A World That Fears Its Own Avatar

The setting of Seven Havens picks up after the events of The Legend of Korra, but the world it depicts has fallen apart. A devastating cataclysm — possibly linked to Korra’s merging of the physical and spirit worlds — has shattered civilisation, and what remains of humanity has retreated into seven isolated strongholds known as the Seven Havens. In this bleak new era, the Avatar is not a symbol of hope. The teaser’s most striking line drives the point home: the title marks its bearer as humanity’s destroyer, not its saviour.

The show is produced by Avatar Studios and Nickelodeon Animation Studio as a 2D-animated series across 26 episodes, split into two books in keeping with the franchise’s tradition.

Meet Pavi — and the Twin Who Could Change Everything

The new Avatar is Pavi, a young dark-skinned Earthbender voiced by Saheli Khan, living in the sandy, windswept city of Allura. She walks with a wooden prosthetic in place of her left leg — a quietly significant design choice from character designer Sara Kipin — and carries a cautious, guarded personality that sets her apart from the brash Korra.

Early in the story, Pavi discovers she has a long-lost twin sister named Nisha (Aishu Devan), who is aggressive and outgoing where Pavi is measured. The twist: both sisters can bend all four elements. Both believe they are the true Avatar. That central conflict — two people with equal claim to the most powerful role in the world — gives Seven Havens a premise that no prior Avatar series has attempted, and the trailer hints at it without spelling everything out.

Korra’s Shadow Looms Over the New Story

Korra is not entirely absent from the teaser. A brief flashback shows her in the Avatar State — the white-glowing-eyes moment that the franchise has always used for its most pivotal scenes — offering a glimpse at what may have preceded the world’s collapse. Whether Janet Varney will return to voice the character beyond the teaser footage has not been confirmed by Paramount or Avatar Studios.

The Creators Who Built the Original Are Back

Perhaps the single biggest signal that Seven Havens is worth taking seriously: it is created by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the duo behind both Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. After their well-publicised departure from the Netflix live-action adaptation, their return to the animated medium — and to the universe they built — is the news many fans were waiting for before committing to a new entry.

Completing the reunion is composer Jeremy Zuckerman, whose scores for both the original series and Korra became as iconic as the shows themselves. All 26 episodes of Avatar: Seven Havens will drop simultaneously on Paramount+ on October 9, 2026 — no weekly releases, no waiting between books. For fans in the US, Australia, or Canada, it will be a full-season binge from day one.

For Singapore viewers, the picture is less clear. Paramount+ does not currently operate in Singapore or Southeast Asia, and regional streaming rights for Seven Havens have not been announced.
