Street Fighter 6’s Year 4 has its next new face: Arjun, a former Indian police officer whose yoga-forged fists carry both raw devastation and a desperate search for justice. Capcom dropped the official gameplay trailer today — watch it below.
Arjun’s backstory follows a classic wrongful-conviction arc: a decorated police officer falsely accused of killing a colleague, now a fugitive determined to expose the real culprit. He channels that conviction — and his fury — through Stegoro Yoga, a rogue’s fighting discipline that harnesses superhuman lung capacity via yogic breathing to unleash astonishing bare-knuckle power. Capcom’s own description calls it “a rogue’s fist that harnesses superhuman lung capacity through yoga breathing to unleash astonishing power” — which is about as promising a moveset pitch as you can get.
On the Year 4 roadmap, Arjun is the second new character of 2026. Yasmine launched in August; Arjun follows in Fall 2026, with an exact release date expected to be announced at Capcom Spotlight on September 16. After him, Final Fantasy VII’s Tifa Lockhart arrives in early 2027, followed by World Tour protagonist Bosch in Spring 2027.
TGS 2026 & What It Means for SG Players
For Singapore FGC players eyeing a Tokyo Game Show trip this month, Street Fighter 6 will be playable at the Capcom booth at TGS 2026 (September 17–21, Makuhari Messe). Whether Arjun himself will be available to try there has not been confirmed — but it’s worth watching Capcom’s TGS announcements closely.
Beyond the trailer, Arjun’s design is worth noting on its own terms. A South Asian character whose power derives from yogic discipline rather than magic, chi, or technology sits in rare territory for a fighting game roster. With SF6’s Southeast Asian player community growing — and Yasmine already resonating with players in the region — Arjun’s India-rooted fighting style adds another culturally distinct voice to an already diverse cast.
