Pokémon GO’s Season 24 has officially begun. Twilight Trails went live today, 8 September 2026, at 10:00 AM local time — and it runs all the way to 1 December 2026, making it one of the longer seasons in the game’s now decade-long history. It’s a packed three months, with Paldean newcomers, two Mega Evolution debuts, and a Dynamax Max Battle Day that Singapore and Asia-Pacific trainers will want to circle on the calendar.
Maschiff and Mabosstiff Make Their Pokémon GO Debut
The season’s headline new arrivals are Maschiff and its evolved form Mabosstiff — the rugged Dark-type bulldog duo from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Paldea region. They’re the first wave of Paldean Pokémon confirmed for this season, with Niantic noting that more Paldea-region species will be making their debuts as Twilight Trails unfolds. Maschiff can be caught in the wild during the Mega Squads event running until 14 September, which is also where Shiny Flamigo makes its Pokémon GO debut.
Mega Staraptor and Mega Chandelure Hit the Raid Gyms
Two Mega Evolution debuts are locked in for this season: Mega Staraptor and Mega Chandelure. Mega Staraptor gets a dedicated Mega Raid Day on 19 September, while Mega Chandelure is expected to debut during a Mega Squads raid window later in the season. Both are strong additions — Mega Staraptor packs serious Flying-type DPS, and Mega Chandelure is one of the most anticipated Ghost and Fire-type Mega Evolutions in the game. Dynamax Uxie — Asia-Pacific’s Exclusive Max Battle Day
This is the one Singapore trainers need to watch out for. The Lake Guardians — Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf — are making their Dynamax debuts in a dedicated Max Battle Day this season. As long-time GO players know, Uxie has always been the Asia-Pacific-exclusive Lake Guardian: when a Max Battle Day rolls around with Uxie featured, that’s your region’s moment. The exact date for this Max Battle Day hasn’t been announced yet, but Niantic confirmed it’s coming during Twilight Trails. Beyond the Lake Guardians, new Dynamax encounters at Power Spots include Rhyhorn, Sneasel, and Sizzlipede from the start of the season.

The Twilight Trails calendar is already filling up for the months ahead:
- Mega Squads (8–14 Sep) — Maschiff debut, Shiny Flamigo debut, Mega raids rotate
- Super Mega Staraptor Raid Day (19 Sep) — Mega Staraptor debut with boosted Shiny odds
- Pokémon Horizons Celebration (16–22 Sep) — costumed Pokémon, increased Kecleon encounters
- Community Day Classic — Gible (12 Sep) — 3× XP for catches, boosted Shiny Gible
- Community Day (10 Oct, 21 Nov) — Pokémon TBA
- Harvest Festival (29 Sep–5 Oct) — Shiny Applin and Shiny Smoliv debuts
- Pokémon GO Wild Area 2026 Global (14–15 Nov) — open to all trainers worldwide, with in-person events in Sendai and Mexico City on 6–8 November
- Lake Guardians Max Battle Day — date TBA, includes Dynamax Uxie for Asia-Pacific
GO Pass Bonuses and Move Updates
The GO Pass milestone rewards for Twilight Trails offer some useful quality-of-life perks as you level up throughout the season: guaranteed Candy XL from trades at Rank 1, increased Gift sending and opening limits at Rank 25, 30-minute Daily Adventure Incense duration at Rank 50, and additional XP and Stardust from hatching Eggs at Rank 75. On top of that, Niantic is rolling out its largest move rebalancing in months — over 30 moves are being updated, and more than 40 Pokémon species are gaining access to new moves, which will shake up Battle League and raid metas heading into the November endgame.
