Persona 4 Revival Confirmed for Switch 2 on May 20, 2027 — Persona 6 Coming Too

The September 9 Nintendo Direct handed Atlus fans two pieces of news in quick succession: Persona 4 Revival has a firm Switch 2 date, and Persona 6 is officially coming to the platform as well.

Persona 4 Revival Switch 2 Date: May 20, 2027

If you have been holding out for the Switch 2 version, Atlus has your date: May 20, 2027. That is three months after the February 18, 2027 launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Xbox PC. The staggered release is similar to how Atlus has handled previous Switch 2 ports, giving players on each platform a confirmed window rather than leaving it as a vague “also coming” note.

SGD pricing was confirmed for the original platforms back in July. Atlus has not announced Switch 2-specific pricing yet, so an update closer to May is likely. The game will be available through major game retailers and electronics chains in Singapore when it launches.

Atlus is also bringing a playable demo to their TGS 2026 booth (September 17–21 at Makuhari Messe), featuring a Story Mode set in Inaba’s shopping district and a Dungeon Mode run through Yukiko’s Castle with the new Prime Time system on display — well worth watching the streams if you cannot make it to Chiba.

What Persona 4 Revival Brings to the Table

For anyone new to it: Persona 4 Revival is a full remake of Persona 4 Golden — the beloved Vita RPG — rebuilt in HD with new 3D cutscenes animated by MAPPA, an all-new English voice cast, and a pair of new battle mechanics that modernise the classic turn-based combat. The Baton Pass system (carried over from Persona 5) lets party members chain attacks when you exploit an enemy weakness, while the new Prime Time Arcana card phase adds a between-turn draw that can buff your team or trigger enemy advantages — giving fights a layer of tactical unpredictability that the original lacked.

The story follows a transfer student who arrives in rural Inaba just as people start appearing dead inside television screens. Forming an Investigation Team, players balance daily school life — social links, part-time jobs, exams — with dungeon-crawling through the Midnight Channel to unmask the killer. All-Out Attacks deliver fully animated group finishers when every enemy is knocked down, and the updated presentation means both veteran fans and complete newcomers should find plenty to enjoy.

Persona 6 Is Switch 2-Bound

Atlus wrapped up the Direct segment with a short Persona 6 tease: the signature green-logo reveal confirmed Nintendo Switch 2 as one of the target platforms. There is no release date, no gameplay, and no cast yet — just the confirmation that Switch 2 owners will not be left behind when the new entry arrives. Persona 6 had previously been confirmed for Xbox Series X|S; today’s announcement adds Switch 2 to the list.
