What’s New in the 1st Anniversary Update
The celebration runs from 22 July to 19 August 2026 and drops two brand-new SP-rarity characters into the game alongside a new mini game and a new game mode. The headline events are:
- Make UR Wish — Complete designated challenges to hand-pick any UR-rarity player from the full roster for free. This is the first time HAIKYU!! FLY HIGH has offered a full UR selector, making it one of the most valuable events the game has ever run.
- Gym Cleanup — Complete daily tasks to progressively unlock SP Hitoshi Ginjima, the passionate wing spiker from Inarizaki High, entirely for free.
- Daily Login Rewards (22 July – 5 August) — Log in every day to claim SP Recruit Tickets, UR Recruit Tickets, and UR Player Boost Cards to power up your roster.
Free Cosmetics and Exclusive Anniversary Backgrounds
Beyond the gameplay rewards, the update brings limited 1st Anniversary Portrait Frames and Chat Frames, plus two dual-character Backgrounds that are unlikely to appear again outside of this event: one featuring Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama, another with Tooru Oikawa and Hajime Iwaizumi. Cosmetics tied to anniversary milestones rarely return, so it is worth logging in even if you are a casual fan of the series.
