Bandai Namco has confirmed that Gundam Rogue Orbit launches on March 5, 2027, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam — and a new release date trailer unveiled the full crew of the Stellarvane vessel, a breakdown of the game’s customisation systems, and four editions including a Collector’s that ships with an HG 1/144 Gundam Helix model kit.

Meet the Crew of the Stellarvane
The trailer properly introduces the cast for the first time. You play as RE-X, an ace pilot who awakens after three years adrift in space and steps back into the cockpit of the Gundam Helix, assisted by Vii — a Haro-type intelligent unit that serves as your onboard AI companion.
The Stellarvane crew adds colour to the universe:
- April — captain of the independent vessel Stellarvane, cool-headed and direct
- Sofia — a mysterious young woman keeping a close watch on RE-X’s movements
- Big Paul — a sand pirate leader distributing supplies to settlers; more complicated than he first appears
- Elaine — a knight commander and skilled Mobile Suit pilot who will almost certainly end up in your way
Lurking at the edge of the trailer is the antagonist: a black Mobile Suit with glowing red eyes, linked to something called “the Apocalypse.” Whether that’s a faction, a unit classification, or something bigger won’t be clear until March.
The Gundam Helix and What You Can Do With It
Combat spans ground and aerial zones in what Bandai Namco is calling a “high-mobility action game” — fast, seamless transitions between running across rubble and boosting through open airspace. The trailer shows the Helix fighting across desert terrain against biomechanical Apocalypse units, inside a space station corridor, and in open orbit.
Customisation is built around four layers: weapons (each with unique actions and skills), frames, thrusters, and Apocalypse Units — modules recovered from enemy forces that add a risk-reward loop to every encounter. Colour schemes are also adjustable, with a pre-order early-unlock Earth Blue palette for those who commit ahead of launch.
Four Editions — Including a Model Kit in the Box
This is the part that will interest Singapore’s Gundam model kit community. Four editions are available for pre-order now:

Singapore pricing has not been announced — watch major games retailers and electronics chains for local availability and SGD figures closer to launch. Given how cleanly the Helix reads in that concept art, the Collector’s Edition will be one to grab early if you want the kit in the box.
Part of the RG Universe — and You Don’t Need the Anime to Start
Rogue Orbit sits inside Bandai Namco’s “RG project” multimedia initiative, which also includes the Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO anime directed by Kenji Kamiyama. Both are set in the same original universe. Bandai Namco has been clear that they are independently enjoyable — you won’t be lost in the game if you haven’t watched the series, and vice versa — though experiencing both will deepen the overall picture.
