Kodansha hasn’t let the occasion pass quietly: over the past 24 hours the franchise has unleashed a wave of 99 announcements, from a brand-new Hajime Isayama illustration to an official YouTube channel, theatrical comeback dates, and a livestream tonight that Singapore fans can watch live.

Read the First 99 Chapters Free — Right Now
The most immediately useful announcement for fans: Kodansha has unlocked the first 99 chapters of Attack on Titan for free reading on Magazine Pocket. The window opened at midnight JST on 9 September and runs for exactly 99 hours, so you have until roughly midday SGT on 13 September to work through the whole Survey Corps saga from the very beginning. No subscription required.
Hajime Isayama Drew Something New for Today
The centrepiece of the anniversary reveal is an exclusive illustration drawn by Attack on Titan creator Hajime Isayama himself. The artwork depicts Eren Yeager, Levi Ackerman, and Erwin Smith dressed in formal attire — a deliberately peaceful contrast to the war-torn world they inhabit in the manga. It’s available as commemorative merchandise through Shonen Magazine Shop, alongside goods featuring the new anniversary visual and a special logo inspired by the Doomsday Titan.
An Official YouTube Channel and a Titan Showcase Video
The franchise has launched its own official Attack on Titan YouTube channel to mark the occasion, with limited-time anime streams and anniversary-exclusive videos planned. The first upload is a dedicated video walking through all nine of the series’ Titans — a handy primer if you’ve ever struggled to keep the Beast Titan and the War Hammer Titan straight.
Beyond the channel launch, partnerships are rolling out across a wide range of brands and esports organisations. Announced collaborations include Sanrio Characters, Good Smile Company, Kotobukiya, and MEDICOS ENTERTAINMENT on the merchandise and figure side, plus esports team Team Liquid, PC hardware brand MSI, and entertainment venue chain ROUND1. Specific product lineups and release windows for these collabs haven’t all been detailed yet, so keep an eye on the official Attack on Titan site (Japanese) for updates.
The Movies Are Coming Back — in ScreenX, 4DX and ULTRA 4DX
Attack on Titan Part 1: Guren no Yumiya — the first of the theatrical compilation films — returns to Japanese cinemas on 23 October 2026 in ScreenX, 4DX, and ULTRA 4DX formats. THE LAST ATTACK, the finale film that concluded the anime, is confirmed for the same enhanced-format theatrical run in 2027. No Singapore or SEA screenings have been announced at this stage; if you want to catch the theatrical experience, you’re looking at a Japan trip or waiting to see whether local distributors pick it up.
Attack on Titan 3 Gets a New MAPPA Opening Visual
Koei Tecmo’s Attack on Titan 3 — the action game due on 10 December 2026 for PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam — revealed new key art for its MAPPA-produced animated opening sequence as part of the AoT Day celebrations. The opening itself will be added post-launch via a free update, with action scene animator Arifumi Imai (who has directed memorable sequences across several MAPPA productions) directing. Tonight’s Livestream — Watch at 8:30pm SGT
The AoT Day celebrations wrap up with a special official livestream on 9 September at 21:30 JST — that’s 20:30 SGT tonight. Voice actors Yuki Kaji (Eren Yeager), Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman), and Hiro Shimono (Connie Springer) will host the broadcast, which is expected to cover additional franchise updates beyond what has already been announced. The stream will go live on the new official YouTube channel.
