What Is Hello Kitty Party Land?

Hello Kitty Party Land is a family party game set in a colourful Sanrio-themed town. Players create a custom avatar, choose a Sanrio character as their companion, and then compete — or cooperate — in a mix of board game rounds and rapid-fire mini-games. It supports one to four players in both local multiplayer and online play, making it just as fun on the couch as it is over the internet with friends elsewhere in Singapore or across the region.

Beyond the competitive modes, the game layers in side activities — fishing, avatar dress-up, and sticker collecting — giving it the kind of casual depth that keeps players coming back between sessions. It’s published by Bandai Namco and marks the debut title from Sanrio Games, the brand’s in-house games label.

Sanrio companions appear throughout the boards, offering buffs, surprises, and character-specific interactions, keeping the game fresh across multiple sessions. The structure runs on an in-game day countdown, with each turn advancing the clock toward the final tally.

With over 45 original mini-games on offer, variety isn’t a concern. The trailer spotlights a range of themes — a competitive food-prep challenge hosted by Hello Kitty, a group jump-rope game overlooking a swan lake, and quick-reaction sports rounds. Some mini-games pit all four players against each other; others are fully cooperative, asking the whole group to work together to beat a shared target.

Named mini-games confirmed so far include Hello Kitty’s Speedy Peeling, Little Twin Stars’ Stellar Fishing, and Cinnamoroll’s Home Run Derby. Each mini-game leans on the personality of its Sanrio host, giving characters like Pompompurin and Kuromi their own distinct flavour of chaos.

Pre-Orders Now Open for Singapore Nintendo Switch Players

Hello Kitty Party Land launches on 29 October 2026 for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 — meaning every Switch owner in Singapore can pick it up, regardless of which console they’re on. Digital pre-orders are live now on the Nintendo eShop; a physical edition is also confirmed, available at major game retailers when it launches. SGD pricing has not yet been confirmed — watch for an update closer to release.

The lineup draws from the full sweep of the Godzilla franchise rather than sticking to a single era, which is exactly what makes it so nerdy-fun. Each Sanrio character is paired with a specific version of the King of the Monsters:

Hello Kitty — the 1954 original, grey-scaled and roaring
Cinnamoroll — also the 1954 Godzilla, complete with his floppy ears still visible inside the suit
My Melody — the Heisei-era Burning Godzilla, rendered in warm reddish-brown
Kuromi — a dark, spiked version drawing on the MechaGodzilla design
My Sweet Piano — a creamy beige kaiju variant all her own
Pompompurin — a fire-chested Godzilla with glowing orange accents

The collection hits three retail channels simultaneously across Japan on 22 July 2026: the official Godzilla Store (Tokyo and other locations), Don Quijote branches nationwide, and Bic Camera stores. The wide retail spread gives the collab real reach beyond the niche collector market.

No international shipping or online storefront has been confirmed at time of writing, which makes this effectively an import-only line for Singapore fans. If you have a Japan trip planned this summer’s school holidays — and Don Quijote is already on your Tokyo itinerary — this is one more reason to budget some extra baggage space. Two product types, two characters each:

Horipad TURBO Mini for Nintendo Switch 2 — a compact wired controller (13 cm × 7 cm, 170 g) built around a clear glitter shell, a rapid-fire function (5, 10, or 20 shots per second), a C button for in-game voice chat, and a 3-metre USB-A cable. The Kuromi edition launches in August 2026 at ¥3,980 (around SGD 35); the Cinnamoroll version follows in September 2026 at the same price. Crucially, both controllers are compatible with Nintendo Switch 2, the original Switch, and Switch OLED — so Singapore gamers who haven’t upgraded yet can still join in.

Pukkuri Hybrid Pouch for Nintendo Switch 2 — a semi-hard carry case with a dual-layer lid, EVA reinforcement, a ruched-fabric carry handle, and a character charm on the zip. It holds the Switch 2 console plus up to ten game cards. Pricing is approximately ¥4,480 per pouch (around SGD 39), with Kuromi shipping in August and Cinnamoroll following shortly after.

Glitter, Sweets, and Pure Character Energy

The design language is exactly what fans of either character would expect. Kuromi’s controller is deep translucent purple, packed with glitter, dessert stickers, and a scene of Kuromi sipping a milk tea — her signature skull logo even peers through the see-through faceplate. Cinnamoroll’s take is sky-blue and icy-clear, with lemon-yellow analogue sticks, floating star decals, and a lemon-tart motif that suits his dreamy, fluffy personality down to a tee.

Both controllers carry the Official Nintendo Licensed Product seal and the © 2026 SANRIO CO., LTD. approval mark. The full lineup made its public debut at Sanrio Fes 2026 in Minato Mirai, Yokohama, where all four products were on display on 27–28 June 2026 — making this one of the freshest product announcements to emerge from Japan this weekend.

Can Singapore Fans Get These HORI Sanrio Controllers?

No international release has been announced — both controllers and pouches are currently Japan-only and listed for sale on Amazon Japan and Rakuten. Singapore fans who want them will need to import, either directly or through a parcel-forwarding service. At roughly SGD 35 per controller before shipping, they sit at the more affordable end of officially licensed Switch 2 accessories available from Japan, and the backward compatibility with original Switch and Switch OLED makes them worthwhile even for those who haven’t upgraded.

HORI has been releasing a steady stream of character-themed Switch 2 peripherals in Japan — recent drops have covered Kirby, Animal Crossing, and a range of Pokémon themes.
