Singapore console players counting down to STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT will need to hold the phone line a little longer. Spike Chunsoft has confirmed that the western console release — covering PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S — has been pushed back from 20 August 2026 to 29 October 2026. The PC (Steam) version launches globally on 20 August as originally planned, and Japanese console versions are also unaffected.

Spike Chunsoft’s statement specifically called out the Xbox delay: “We previously announced a release date of August 20, 2026, but decided to postpone the release date to align with the western console release date of October 29, 2026. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause to those who have been looking forward to the release of the Xbox Series X|S version.”

If you’ve been planning to pick up STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT on PS5 or Switch 2, you’re now looking at a 70-day wait beyond the Steam launch. PC players on Steam remain on track for 20 August. No reason beyond schedule alignment has been given for the western console delay, and no physical edition announcements have been made for the region at this time.
