Arknights: Endfield Dreamscape Update Out 2 September — Free Operator Purrchena and Steam News

Publisher GRYPHLINE and developer Mountain Contour have confirmed that the “Dreamscape of Wind and Snow” version update for Arknights: Endfield launches on 2 September, bringing a new operator, a supernatural Snowy Forest, and a time-loop puzzle map later in the patch window. The update also comes with news that Endfield is heading to Steam soon.

Typhoeus Arrives from the Original Arknights

Headlining the update is Typhoeus, a fan-favourite operator from the original Arknights making her debut in Endfield’s world. An icefield huntress with a deep curiosity about Sami legends, Typhoeus has travelled far in search of disappearing stories. In the Snowy Forest outside Yinglung Pass, she crosses paths with the Endministrator and Chief Engineer Andre — a group quickly trapped by an enchanted fog that loops travelers back endlessly.

In combat, Typhoeus is a Nature Striker who leaps into the air, fires at multiple targets, and deploys a Barrage Array to slow enemies. Players will also encounter Gloomwald’s Rage, the new regional boss lurking deep in the forest. The Snowy Forest comes with a unique audio identity: GRYPHLINE partnered with Finnish electronic musician Vilma Jää, known for her work on CONTROL Resonant, to create a Nordic folk-electronic score blending Sámi musical traditions with Endfield’s world.

Suiming: A Whole City as a Puzzle — Opens September 24

On 24 September, a second major piece of content unlocks: Suiming, a new puzzle-exploration map built around a repeating 15-minute time loop. As the city’s tides rise and fall, previously inaccessible streets and routes emerge. Players must collect parts to repair the Waking Bell before the Blight Tide arrives. Each reset rewinds the clock but retains collected items, gradually uncovering Suiming’s past across multiple loops — a design that rewards methodical exploration rather than raw combat.

Get Operator Purrchena for Free

Also starting 24 September, the Purrchena Tribute Event lets players recruit Physical Defender Purrchena — and her recommended weapon, Dessert Moment — entirely free. Completing all six event missions provides enough copies to fully maximise both the operator and the weapon’s Potential. A support-focused defender who raises her shield to protect teammates and delivers gift boxes that heal allies, Purrchena is worth picking up even if you’re a casual Endfield player. Six missions is a low bar for a fully-potentialled operator.

Arknights: Endfield Coming to Steam Soon

Alongside the update news, GRYPHLINE confirmed that Arknights: Endfield is coming to Steam soon — and that the Steam Wishlist Milestone Event is already live. Players who wishlist the game on Steam unlock in-game rewards at community milestones (30,000 / 100,000 / 200,000 / 300,000 wishlists), with prizes including in-game currency and upgrade materials. A Steam launch would make the global PC version more accessible for Singapore players already using the platform, no launcher needed.

Mountain Contour co-founder and game producer Light Zhong said in a press release relayed by Gematsu: “Moving forward, we will continue to develop, optimize and bring more new stories, gameplay and content worth exploring so that we live up to your trust and expectations.”

Arknights: Endfield is available now on PS5, PC via the Epic Games Store and official launcher, iOS, and Android. The “Dreamscape of Wind and Snow” update goes live 2 September. For more game news, visit Game News on GameTrader.SG.

Arknights: Endfield Is Coming to Steam — Wishlist Now for In-Game Rewards

Singapore’s Arknights community has been asking for it since launch day, and Gryphline finally delivered: Arknights: Endfield is officially confirmed for Steam, with the store page going live today, 13 August 2026. A release date has yet to be announced, but a Wishlist milestone campaign is already running — and it comes with free in-game goodies.

Steam Page Is Live — Wishlist for Rewards

Publisher GRYPHLINE and developer Hypergryph confirmed the Steam release via the newly live store page on Steam (App ID 4732690), reported today by Automaton. The listing reads “Coming soon” — an exact date is expected to follow, described as coming “in the near future.”

To mark the launch of the Steam page, the developers have announced a Wishlist milestone reward campaign. Hit any of the targets below by the time the game launches on Steam and all players (across all platforms, to be confirmed) receive the corresponding rewards:

  • Phase 1 — 30,000 Wishlists: T-Creds ×8,000
  • Phase 2 — 100,000 Wishlists: Elementary Cognitive Carrier ×2
  • Phase 3 — 200,000 Wishlists: Arms INSP Set ×2
  • Final Goal — 300,000 Wishlists: Special Commemorative Portrait Frame ×1

T-Creds and Cognitive Carriers are meaningful pulls currency, so even the lower milestones are worth chasing. Head to the Steam page and hit Wishlist — it costs nothing and helps unlock rewards for existing players too.

What Is Arknights: Endfield?

For anyone who hasn’t made the jump yet: Arknights: Endfield is a 3D real-time strategy RPG set in the Arknights universe, developed by Hypergryph and published by GRYPHLINE. You take the role of the Endministrator of Endfield Industries, exploring the planet Talos-II and leading a cast of Operators through combat, base-building, and story content in full 3D — a major visual step up from the original Arknights mobile tower-defence.

The game launched in January 2026 for PC (native client and Epic Games Store), PS5, and mobile. As we covered when Version 1.4 Homecoming dropped in July, the game has been expanding steadily with new Operators, story chapters, and modes since launch.

Why Steam Matters for Singapore Players

Steam is comfortably the dominant PC gaming platform in Singapore and Southeast Asia. For players who have been holding off on Arknights: Endfield specifically because it wasn’t on Steam — Steam Wallet top-ups, family sharing, native overlay, and community hub access — that wait is nearly over.

There is also a practical benefit for the Arknights community here: many SG players already have their gaming spend routed through Steam Wallet (including through Singapore’s various eWallet and convenience-store top-up options), making Steam a much more comfortable entry point than setting up a separate Epic account or native client login.

Cross-save and cross-progression details between the Steam version and existing PC/mobile accounts have not yet been confirmed — we’ll update this article when Gryphline announces more. Keep an eye on the Steam store page and the official Arknights: Endfield social channels for the release date announcement.

Arknights 6.5th Anniversary: PC Client Arrives 13 August, “First of a Thousand Autumns” Starts Tomorrow

Arknights is marking its 6.5th Anniversary with two pieces of news Singapore players will want to know: the game is getting a dedicated PC client on 13 August, and the “First of a Thousand Autumns” story event kicks off tomorrow (16 July) with a fresh limited 6-star Operator joining the pool.

PC Client Launches 13 August

The official Arknights PC client — separate from emulator workarounds — is set to launch on 13 August 2026. It supports full cross-save with your existing mobile account, meaning your operators, progression, and resources carry over with no loss. If you have been grinding on mobile for years, nothing disappears when you make the switch to PC.

The PC client also conveniently aligns with the close of the anniversary period, so you will have a fresh platform ready to jump into whatever content follows.

“First of a Thousand Autumns” Story Event — 16 July

The anniversary’s centrepiece event takes Operators deeper into the lore of Yan, the game’s Chinese-inspired nation. The event runs from 16 July 08:00 (SGT) and brings new story stages and Proofreading missions. Complete those missions to earn the five-star Operator Ju for free — no pulls required.

Limited Banners: Wang and Ch’en the Dawnstreak

Two 6-star Operators are available on the Festival Limited Headhunting banner from 16 July 08:00 to 30 July 03:59 (SGT):

  • Wang (★★★★★★, Limited) — a brand-new Caster making their debut this anniversary. Wang is a first-time addition to the pool, so this is the only window to get them until a future rerun.
  • Ch’en the Dawnstreak (★★★★★★) — a fan-favourite returning limited Operator, back for a rerun alongside the Yan celebrations. If you missed her the first time, this is your second chance.

Both operators share the same banner under the “Ashes to Ashes / Ages on Ages” Festival Limited pool.

Hypergryph is being generous for the 6.5th Anniversary. The anniversary period includes daily Originite Prime login rewards (adding up to over 20 pulls’ worth) and a 10x free Headhunting Permit. On top of that, a one-time Special Appreciation Gift is available in-game containing:

A Big Anniversary for Singapore Players

Arknights has a sizeable following in Singapore, and the PC client is a long-requested quality-of-life upgrade. Late-game content — particularly high-difficulty Integrated Strategies runs and Contingency Contract stages — benefits meaningfully from a larger screen and a proper keyboard-and-mouse setup. With cross-save, veteran players can switch to PC without sacrificing anything they have built on mobile.

The “First of a Thousand Autumns” anniversary celebrations begin tomorrow, 16 July. Log in to claim your free gifts, decide whether you are pulling for the new limited Wang or banking resources, and mark 13 August on your calendar for the PC client launch.
