With Tokyo Game Show 2026 just eleven days away, Square Enix has confirmed its full booth lineup at Makuhari Messe — and the headline is simple: you will be able to go hands-on with Final Fantasy VII Revelation for the very first time at a public event.

FF7 Revelation and Final Fantasy Resonance Both Playable
Square Enix is bringing two playable experiences to TGS this year. A dedicated section of the booth will let visitors play through a portion of Final Fantasy VII Revelation — the final chapter of the remake trilogy, which was confirmed for an April 8, 2027 release at the September 3 State of Play. That showcase introduced the Highwind airship as a base of operations, the FITS job system, and confirmed Cid and Vincent as playable party members. Touching the game in person at TGS is the next step for anyone counting down to launch.
Final Fantasy Resonance is also available to play at the booth, with a pixel character art panel display and a spot-the-difference campaign nearby. This is a separate experience from the home demo that went live on 3 September, which revealed Sephiroth as a hidden boss.

Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts and the Rest of the Booth
The broader Square Enix lineup covers eleven titles across console and mobile:
- Dragon Quest VII Reimagined — playable from the beginning. The February 2026 remake is available on Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series and PC, so this is a good chance to try it if you’ve been on the fence.
- Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World — a meet-and-greet with Fluffy, a mysterious creature from the game, plus a DQ XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition showing.
- Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold — character meet-and-greet with Alpha and a moogle, alongside a collaboration bag available on public days (Sept 19–21).
- Kingdom Hearts Collection [I–III] and Kingdom Hearts IV — featured on a dedicated trailer wall. KH4 has a late-2027 window but is not among the playable demos.
- Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest Smash/Grow represent the mobile side of the lineup.
Three FF7 photo spots are set up across the booth, themed around Remake, Rebirth and Revelation respectively — a nice touch for fans documenting their TGS visit.
