It’s happening. Insomniac Games confirmed on 21 August that Marvel’s Wolverine has officially gone gold, meaning development is complete and the September 15, 2026 PS5 launch is absolutely locked in. No more will-it-slip anxiety — Wolverine is ready.
Marvel’s Wolverine Certified Gold
Going gold is the final milestone before a game ships: the master build is done, discs are going to print, and the digital version is ready to stage on storefronts. Insomniac made the call on their socials with a shot of Logan holding — naturally — gold claws. Those gold claws are also in the game: they’re an unlockable in-game cosmetic players can earn.
The full 1.0 version of the game will be on the physical PS5 disc when it ships, but Insomniac has confirmed a day-one patch will be required via download before you start playing. Budget a few minutes for it on launch night. The game itself runs at 60 fps on PS5 — a step up from the open-world juggle of the Spider-Man titles.

As we covered when the bundle was revealed, Singapore players can grab the Battle Yellow Limited Edition PS5 Digital Edition Bundle from SGD 849, with pre-orders open since 19 August at direct.playstation.com and major game retailers. The Battle Yellow DualSense and PS5 console covers are also available separately.
Five Alternate Suits in the Digital Deluxe Edition
Alongside the gold announcement, Insomniac released a new trailer spotlighting the Digital Deluxe Edition. Five exclusive suits are in the package:
- Age of Apocalypse — straight from the comics’ darkest timeline
- New Leather — classic comics look, modernised
- Incredible — a comics favourite in full fidelity
- Savage — an original design, artwork by Adam Kubert
- Night Hunt — another original, artwork by Iban Coello
Digital Deluxe also adds five unique adamantium claw variants (Smooth-Edged, Hollow Blade, Serrated Spine, Tapered, Thick) and three extra technique points to give you a head start on your build. Standard edition owners can upgrade separately.
What Singapore PS5 Players Should Know
Marvel’s Wolverine is a PS5 exclusive — no PC, no Xbox, no Switch 2. If you want to play this one, a PS5 is your only ticket. The game follows James ‘Logan’ Howlett, voiced by Liam McIntyre (Spartacus), across a globe-trotting adventure that takes him through Madripoor, Canada, and Tokyo. D23 revealed the full villain lineup: Mystique, Omega Red, Sentinels, Jean Grey and Team X are all confirmed.

It’s a linear, single-player action game — Insomniac have described the combat as visceral and fast-paced with an emphasis on the berserker fantasy. No shared world, no live-service hooks: just Logan and his adamantium claws against whatever the story throws at him.

The Singapore release is 15 September — same day worldwide. Check the Game News section for our day-one coverage. SGD 849 gets you the Battle Yellow PS5 bundle; the game on its own will be available digitally on the PlayStation Store at launch.
