Code Vein II’s Mask of Idris DLC Arrives 9 September — New Character, Forsaken World & Free Update

If you’ve been waiting for more Code Vein II after finishing the main campaign, Bandai Namco has your next stop: the Mask of Idris DLC expansion lands on 9 September 2026 across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). It’s a post-game story that takes the Revenant experience somewhere genuinely new — a parallel realm called the Forsaken World — and it brings a brand-new partner and a pair of fresh weapons along for the ride.

A World Forged From Vanished Timelines

The Forsaken World is described as “a setting forged from the converged passions of worlds that vanished due to historical alterations.” At its heart churns the Spindle of Pathos — a colossal vortex that draws emotions from across time and space, threatening to break through into the real world. The expansion’s story runs entirely separate from the main campaign, though it picks up in the aftermath: you’ll need to have reached the Luna Fraterna ending and completed the sub-mission Valentin’s Request to unlock the new content.

The narrative leans into Code Vein II’s strength — layered lore delivered through partner conversations and environmental storytelling — with the alternate timeline premise giving Bandai Namco room to introduce characters who couldn’t exist in the main story’s continuity.

Meet Liv Voda, Guardian of Time and Space

The expansion’s centrepiece partner is Liv Voda, a former guardian of the Temporal Rift whose combative personality shifts dramatically as her emotions surge. Her combat style centres on the Chariot Rave Formae and a halberd, rewarding aggressive play in the tight corridors of the Forsaken World. Alongside Liv is Lou MagMell, a mysterious revenant whose true intentions remain deliberately unclear — a nice bit of narrative tension to carry through the expansion.

For weapons, the DLC adds the Grave Knocker (a martial-arts Formae built around aerial kick combos) and the Sword of Karma: Idris (a flame-imbued great sword with extended hit chains). Both are tuned for the DLC’s new enemies, but will carry over to post-game exploration of the main world too.

Even if you’re not buying the DLC, 9 September brings a free Version 2.0 update for all Code Vein II owners. The headline feature is post-game partner exploration — you can freely roam the main story’s maps with your partner characters after finishing the campaign, opening up new conversations and collectibles that were previously inaccessible. Bandai Namco has said more details on Version 2.0’s full feature list will be announced closer to release.

Availability and Singapore Pricing

Code Vein II is already available on the Singapore PlayStation Store with a Standard Edition at SGD 89.90, a Deluxe Edition at SGD 119.90, and an Ultimate Edition at SGD 139.90. The Mask of Idris expansion is included with both the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions — so if you bought either of those, the DLC is already in your library on 9 September at no extra cost. Standard Edition owners will be able to purchase the expansion separately; specific SGD pricing for the standalone DLC has not yet been confirmed by Bandai Namco.

The game and DLC are also available on Steam and Xbox Series X|S worldwide. If you haven’t jumped in yet, September is a good time — Version 2.0 lands day-and-date with the expansion, and a full post-game to explore makes the package considerably more substantial than at launch.
