What Is Volcano Princess?

Volcano Princess casts you as a father raising your daughter Lava in a fantasy world filled with magic and monsters. Over the course of several in-game years you guide her studies, combat training, social life, and moral development — every choice you make shapes who she becomes. Will she grow up to be a knight, a mage, a merchant, or something far stranger? With more than 50 distinct endings, the answer is rarely the same twice.

The game draws obvious comparisons to the classic Princess Maker series, but Volcano Princess has its own identity: a rich fantasy setting, a heartfelt father-daughter relationship at its core, and a surprising amount of narrative depth for a sim. The full Japanese voice cast (added in a post-launch PC update) is included from day one on consoles.

  • 50+ endings driven by your choices across multiple playthroughs
  • Controller-optimised UI rebuilt for console navigation
  • Simultaneous mobile release on iOS and Android for players who prefer touchscreen

A physical edition has not been announced for Southeast Asia at this time. The digital version is the confirmed path for Singapore players at launch.

Price and Where to Buy

Volcano Princess is priced at USD $10.99 / JPY ¥1,300 — roughly S$15 at current rates — making it one of the more affordable new releases this month. The game will be available on the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop from 30 July 2026. The mobile version launches on the same date via the App Store and Google Play.

If you want to try before you buy, the PC version on Steam has a free demo available now. The full Steam release also gives you a sense of the scope: most players report a first playthrough of around 8–10 hours, with multiple runs needed to see the full breadth of endings.

For Singapore players looking for a chill, story-rich sim to fill the gaps between bigger releases this July, Volcano Princess is shaping up to be a strong pick — especially at that price point. We will have more coverage as the 30 July launch date approaches.
