Re:ZERO Season 4 Recapture Arc Premieres August 12 on Crunchyroll

Re:ZERO fans, mark your calendars — the Recapture Arc, the high-stakes second half of Season 4, lands on Crunchyroll on 12 August 2026. With the first episode of the new arc being screened today at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles as part of KADOKAWA’s 10th Anniversary Panel, the anticipation is already running high for Singapore fans.

Where Season 4 Left Off

White Fox’s fourth season launched on 8 April 2026 with the Loss Arc (喪失編) — eleven crushing episodes set in the Watergate City of Priestella. Subaru and his allies clashed with the Archbishops of Gluttony and Lust, emerging with a fractured victory that cost them dearly: Rem fell into an unending sleep under the Authority of Gluttony, Crusch lost her memories entirely, and Julius’s very name was devoured from the minds of everyone who knew him. Subaru himself came out the other side suffering from amnesia.

The Loss Arc concluded on 17 June 2026 and all eleven episodes are on Crunchyroll right now — perfect for Singapore viewers who need to catch up before the Recapture Arc drops in August.

The Recapture Arc — “Take it back, no matter what”

The new key visual, revealed on 17 June, says everything about the shift in tone. Subaru surges upward with his arms outstretched and desperation on his face, surrounded by Emilia, Beatrice, Ram, Echidna, and the rest of the cast — while Rem, still lost in her unending sleep, sits quietly in the lower right corner. The warm, golden palette of library-lit amber couldn’t be further from the cracked, shadowed blue of the Loss Arc’s ominous “Who are you?” poster.

The Recapture Arc (奪還編) covers Arc 6 of Tappei Nagatsuki’s original light novels and runs for 8 episodes (Episodes 12–19). Subaru’s mission leads him into the Auguria Dunes — a vast and unforgiving desert that stands as the only path to the Pleiades Watchtower, where the Sage Shaula may hold the key to reversing the catastrophic damage wrought by the Archbishops of Gluttony.

“Stay Alive ~Regain~” — ten years of Emilia in three minutes

To mark the end of the Loss Arc, the official Re:ZERO channel released a studio performance video of “Stay Alive ~Regain~” — a new rendition of the beloved Season 1 ending theme, now performed by Emilia’s voice actress Rie Takahashi. Written, composed and arranged by Heart’s Cry, the track became available on digital platforms from 18 June 2026.

It’s the first time Takahashi has performed the song in character since Season 1 — and the weight of that decade shows. As she explained in the official announcement relayed via Anime Corner: “While preserving the feelings and spirit of the original song, I embraced it with the warmth that Emilia carries in her heart today.” The performance doubles as a celebration of Re:ZERO’s 10th anniversary — the original web novel series began in 2012, and this franchise has defined isekai storytelling for an entire generation of fans.

When and Where to Watch in Singapore

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4 streams on Crunchyroll, which is available in Singapore and across Southeast Asia with both subtitled and English dubbed episodes, simulcast alongside the Japanese broadcast. Episode 12 — the first chapter of the Recapture Arc — goes live on 12 August 2026.

Director Masahiro Shinohara leads the production at White Fox, with character designs by Haruka Sagawa. The season’s opening theme is “Recollect” by Konomi Suzuki and Ashnikko; the ending theme is “Ender Ember” by Myth & Roid and TK from Ling Tosite Sigure.

If you’re powering through the backlog, all previous seasons are on streaming platforms — and you can find more anime coverage right here on GameTrader.SG.

Re:ZERO Season 4 Part 2 — The Recapture Arc Premieres 12 August

The second half of Re:ZERO − Starting Life in Another World Season 4 has a name, a release date, and a key visual: The Recapture Arc runs for eight episodes and premieres on 12 August 2026. Crunchyroll will stream it outside Japan, so Singapore subscribers are locked in for day-one simulcast.

The Loss Arc Wraps — 19 Episodes in Two Parts

Season 4 is structured across 19 episodes split into two arcs. Part 1 — the “Loss Arc” — ran for 11 episodes and concluded on 17 June 2026, closing out one of the most gruelling stretches in the series’ run. Without going into spoilers: it delivers exactly what its name promises. WHITE FOX is animating the season, with Masahiro Shinohara directing.

Part 2, the Recapture Arc, picks up directly from those events. Story details are deliberately sparse on the official side, which we will respect here — if you haven’t finished the Loss Arc yet, now is the time to catch up before August.

Emilia’s Song Returns: “Stay Alive ~Regain~”

Alongside the new key visual, the production released a special studio performance video for “Stay Alive ~Regain~” — a rearrangement of the iconic Season 1 ending theme. It is performed by Rie Takahashi in character as Emilia, making this the first time she has performed as the character since Season 1. Given everything that happens in the Loss Arc, the timing is not a coincidence. The track is available now on digital music platforms, with music production by KADOKAWA.

Episode 1 Screens at Anime Expo 2026 on 3 July

Before the August broadcast, the Recapture Arc’s first episode gets an early screening at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles on 3 July, as part of KADOKAWA’s 10th Anniversary Panel — the same event celebrating KonoSuba and Bungo Stray Dogs. Singapore fans making the trip or following the event online will get their first look ahead of the general premiere.

Re:ZERO Season 4 is already shaping up as the most emotionally ambitious arc the series has tackled, and the Recapture Arc title alone raises the stakes for what comes next. If you have been sleeping on this season, the Loss Arc is fully available on Crunchyroll right now — catch up before 12 August. For more anime news and coverage, check our Manga Anime section.

Re:ZERO Season 4 The Recapture Arc Is Coming August 12

The Loss Arc is over, Emilia has sung again, and the calendar now says August 12. After the emotionally devastating Season 4 Episode 11 finale aired yesterday, White Fox and the Re:ZERO4 PARTNERS production committee have locked in the second half of Re:ZERO – Starting Life in Another World Season 4: The Recapture Arc begins on Crunchyroll on August 12, 2026.

Re:ZERO Season 4 Part 2: Date, Episodes, and What to Expect

Following the 11-episode Loss Arc that wrapped on June 17, The Recapture Arc runs for 8 additional episodes — bringing Season 4’s total to 19 episodes across both consecutive cours. The arc picks up the threads left brutally hanging by the Loss Arc’s finale: Rem remains trapped in an unending sleep, Crusch has lost her memories, and Julius had his very name devoured by the Authority of Gluttony. Subaru and his allies must now fight to reclaim everything that was taken from them in the city of Priestella.

Season 4 adapts Arc 5 and Arc 6 of Tappei Nagatsuki’s light novel, two of the most ambitious and emotionally punishing story sections in the franchise. Part 2 is expected to delve deeper into Arc 6, which had not been adapted in animated form before this season.

Stay Alive ~Regain~ Is Out Now on Streaming

Alongside the key visual reveal, a special new recording of Re:ZERO’s iconic Season 1 ending theme has been released. “Stay Alive ~Regain~” is performed once again by Rie Takahashi in her role as Emilia, composed and written by Heart’s Cry — the same creative team behind the 2016 original. The track debuted at the close of Season 4 Episode 11 and is now available on digital streaming platforms worldwide as of today, June 18.

Speaking about the new performance, Takahashi said she “embraced it with the warmth that Emilia carries in her heart today,” as shared via Anime Corner. For fans who remember that song from Season 1, hearing it again at this point in the story hits completely differently.
