Street Fighter 6’s Yasmine went live on 3 August 2026, making her Capcom’s first-ever Filipino World Warrior — and for Southeast Asia’s fighting game community, that’s a headline moment. She launched alongside a full roster of battle-balance adjustments and, separately, a free in-game Onimusha event that kicks off this Thursday (7 August) and runs to month’s end. We covered her announcement back in June; here’s what’s new now that she’s in everyone’s hands.
Who Is Street Fighter 6 Yasmine?

Yasmine grew up in the Philippines, training alongside her older brother Kuya under their grandfather’s guidance in Eskrima — the Filipino national martial art built around rapid blade and stick combinations. Kuya’s sudden disappearance left her training dormant, until a French supermodel’s FooTube videos reignited her fighting spirit. She enters the circuit armed with a karambit knife and a personal mystery to unravel.
Her kit focuses on aggressive forward movement and layered knife mix-ups. Key special moves include:
- Daloy ng Tubig — a quick forward rush that opens and extends combos
- Alon — a multi-hit follow-up that can activate Bayani Mode, a powered-up state that expands her offensive options
- Talim ng Hangin — a low sweep for pressure and whiff punishment
- Mukha ng Langit — a front-flip overhead that forces opponents to respect multiple angles
- Lipad ng Agila — a multi-hit aerial rush
- Pangil sa Likuran — a swirling projectile at variable speeds for zoning
Her Arcade Story and Outfit 2 are both included at launch, and the accompanying update also brings general battle-balance adjustments across the full Street Fighter 6 roster.
How to Get Yasmine in SF6
Yasmine is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. She is included with the Year 4 Character Pass and Year 4 Ultimate Pass; she can also be purchased separately. Three more Year 4 fighters are still incoming: Arjun, Tifa Lockhart (yes, the Final Fantasy VII Tifa), and Bosch.

Capcom is holding an official Philippines launch event on 9 August in Makati at Salud! — a fitting celebration for the first Filipino fighter in the series’ nearly 40-year history. If you happen to be in Manila that weekend, it’s worth a look.
Free Onimusha Collab: Log In 7–31 August for EX Colours

Running from 7 to 31 August, the “Way of the Oni × Way of the Fist” collaboration ties Street Fighter 6 to Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Capcom’s first new entry in the samurai franchise in over two decades (launching 3 September 2026). The collab is entirely free — simply log in during the event window to claim everything.
All 8 Oni EX Colours and What You Get

Eight SF6 fighters each get a new colour palette inspired by an Onimusha character:
- Miyamoto Musashi → Ryu
- Soki → Luke
- Osric → Blanka
- Gogandantess → A.K.I.
- Sasaki Ganryu → Ed
- Oda Nobunaga → Akuma
- Jacques Blanc → M. Bison
- Akechi Samanosuke → Terry
On top of the EX colours, logging in during the event also unlocks Samurai Avatar costumes, Challenger Screen Illustrations, Titles, and Avatar Gear. The Battle Hub is getting an Onimusha-themed makeover with a community voter called “Your Favourite Genma” — vote for your favourite demonic Genma from the series to earn exclusive stickers and camera frames.
It’s a strong pair of updates to drop together: a brand-new fighter with a deep SEA cultural identity, and a nostalgia-heavy crossover with a franchise that has been dormant for over two decades. Whether you play Street Fighter 6 competitively or just casually, the Onimusha log-in rewards are worth grabbing before 31 August. Keep an eye on the Game News section for Onimusha: Way of the Sword coverage when it launches in September.
