Capcom’s biggest in-game summer celebration has returned to Monster Hunter Wilds. The Festival of Accord: Flamefete is live from today, 22 July, bringing a full tropical makeover to the Grand Hub, three limited-time event quests, two new armor sets, and one of the most delightfully absurd weapons in series history — all available until mid-August on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The Grand Hub Goes Full Tropical
The moment you log in, the Grand Hub has been redecorated with tiki totems, hanging lanterns, flowering vines, and an open beach-party atmosphere. The canteen switches over to a summer seasonal feast menu, complete with watermelon fruit bowls alongside the usual monster-meat grill. Daily Lucky Vouchers increase from one to two per day, and Barrel Bowling Vouchers jump to three — so it’s a good time to knock out those activity completions if you’ve been putting them off.
Three Event Quests — and What Each One Gets You
Flamefete adds three time-limited quests that drop the event currencies needed to craft everything new this season:
- Pick Your Poison — Hunt a Rompopolo and a Gypceros in the Oilwell Basin. Rewards: Diving Tickets, used to craft the Diver Alpha armor and the Felyne Aloha set for your Palico.
- Putting Up a Stink — Hunt a Tempered Congalala and a Tempered Rathian in the Scarlet Forest. Rewards: Flamefete Catalogs, needed for the Cornpopper Gunlance and the two cosmetic eyewear pieces.
- These Roots Run Deep — Hunt an Arch Tempered Uth Duna. This is the toughest quest of the three and rewards crafting materials for the Uth Duna Gamma (γ) armor set, which stacks Peak Performance, Earplugs, and Tool Specialist at full completion.
New Armor and the Cornpopper Gunlance
The two main craftable armor sets this season cater to very different hunters. Afi Alpha (α) is built for blast-centric builds — it ships with Burst Lv5, Blast Resistance Lv3, Bombardier Lv3, and Heroics Lv1, and the full set unlocks the Flamefete Boon set bonus. You craft it using Flamefete Tickets, which you earn passively from the daily login bonus and the event’s Limited Bounties. Diver Alpha (α), assembled from Diving Tickets, leans into comfort and stamina — Marathon Runner Lv3, Hunger Resistance Lv3, and Aquatic/Oilsilt Mobility Lv2 make it a natural fit for lengthy expedition runs or the wetter regions of Wilds’ world.
Then there’s the weapon Singapore hunters specifically need to see.
The Cornpopper Gunlance is exactly what it looks like: a massive, gleaming corn cob that fires like a proper siege weapon. It’s a fan-favourite returning from last year’s event, crafted using Flamefete Catalogs from “Putting Up a Stink.” Combat performance aside, it’s the kind of weapon you equip for screenshot sessions with your squad.
Free Login Rewards and Hub Perks
Just logging in during the event period is worth doing even if you don’t plan to farm quests. Capcom is giving out the Water Gun gesture — a full animated emote where your hunter raises a water gun and can fire it while moving and dodging — alongside a Flamefete Felyne Teddy pendant, a Beach Barrel Bomb, and the Firebird Caparison Seikret decoration. Hunter titles, nameplates and special Flamefete-themed backgrounds are also claimable.
For those who want extra cosmetics for their support characters, there’s also a paid Flamefete DLC Pack containing summer outfits for Alma, Gemma, and Erik, plus additional pendants and sticker sets — optional, and not needed for any of the crafting content above.
How Long Do You Have?
Flamefete runs through mid-August 2026; check the in-game event calendar for the confirmed end date once you’re logged in. Given the Arch Tempered Uth Duna quest and the Flamefete Ticket grind for Afi Alpha, you’ll want to start farming early rather than leaving it to the final week. Singapore hunters are on standard Asia servers with no region lock, so matchmaking into the event quests should be straightforward from day one.
