Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice — the FromSoftware action title that won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2019 — is getting an official anime adaptation. The series follows Wolf, a disgraced shinobi sworn to protect a young lord named Kuro. Revealed at Gamescom 2025, Sekiro: No Defeat was confirmed as a Crunchyroll worldwide exclusive. The September 4 Japan theatrical premiere date was officially confirmed in May 2026 alongside a new main visual, with a second trailer following in March.

Production is handled by Studio Qzil.la together with ARCH and KADOKAWA.
