PSYREN Anime Sets October 5 Date — CLAN QUEEN Opens, Crunchyroll Confirmed

PSYREN finally has a hard date: 5 October 2026. And it lands on Crunchyroll globally — which means Singapore fans can queue up the psychic-action series from the very first episode, no regional delay needed.

The date, along with the opening theme artist and two new cast reveals, was announced today alongside a new official trailer. As we covered when SATELIGHT first unveiled the project back in June, the series had spent fifteen years on fans’ most-wanted lists after the manga wrapped in 2013 — now the wait is almost over.

October 5 on Crunchyroll — Singapore Streams Day One

PSYREN premieres in Japan on 5 October 2026, with Crunchyroll carrying it worldwide outside Japan and Russia (IVI handles Russia). That is a full simultaneous simulcast, so Singapore viewers do not have to wait for a delayed rollout or hunt for imports.

The three-member rock unit CLAN QUEEN performs “WARNING!!” as the opening theme. The new trailer above gives the first taste of the track driving a montage of animation clips that look sharper and more dynamic than the earlier June teaser. Expect high-energy punk-adjacent rock to go with the series’ psychic battle sequences.

Newly Confirmed Cast

Two supporting characters join the cast with today’s announcement:

  • Matsuri Yagumo — voiced by Yuhko Kaida, Sakurako’s mentor and a veteran Psionist
  • Dolkey — voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama, a straight-ahead antagonist

They join the already-confirmed core cast: Rikuya Yasuda as Ageha Yoshina, Mayuko Kazama as Sakurako Amamiya, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Hiryu Asaga, Soma Saito as Oboro Mochizuki, and Yukihiro Nozuyama as Kabuto Kirisaki.

What Is PSYREN?

PSYREN (サイレン) ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 2007 to 2013 across 24 volumes, written and illustrated by Toshiaki Iwashiro. High-schooler Ageha Yoshina picks up a mysterious red phone card left in a phone booth, which pulls him — and his childhood friend Sakurako — into a lethal game called PSYREN. Participants are teleported to a devastated future Japan, hunted by creatures called W.I.S.E., and must develop psychic abilities (PSI) to survive and find their way home. The mystery driving the story: who destroyed the world, and can it be prevented?

SATELIGHT (Macross Delta, Symphogear) is handling the animation, with Katsumi Ono directing and Shin Yoshida on series composition. The studio has confirmed a complete adaptation covering the full manga run.
