Sony has revealed the three free games heading to PlayStation Plus Essential in August 2026 — and it is a solid spread of zombie parkour, brand-new co-op exploration, and cult sci-fi horror. All three are available to add from Tuesday, 4 August.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition (PS5, PS4) — Parkour, Firearms and Four-Player Co-Op
The headliner for August is Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Techland’s post-apocalyptic open-world action game, now on PS5 and PS4. The Reloaded Edition bundles everything released to date into a single package: the full base game, all updates, the Bloody Ties DLC, and the Firearms Update — the biggest single update the game received, which added guns to what was originally a melee-and-parkour-only experience.
You play as Aiden Caldwell, navigating a ruined city overrun by the infected and by rival human factions. The real draw for a lot of players is the four-player online co-op, which makes the parkour and combat considerably more chaotic and fun. If you missed it at launch, this is an easy entry point.
Big Walk (PS5) — House House’s New Game, Day One on PS Plus
Big Walk is the August highlight for anyone who follows indie games closely. Developed by House House — the Australian studio behind Untitled Goose Game — and published by Panic, it launches on PS5 on 4 August, the same day it hits Switch 2, Steam and the Epic Games Store. Crucially, it launches day-one on PS Plus Essential, meaning Singapore PS Plus subscribers get it free at release, no waiting.
The game is a co-op exploration experience built around a simple premise: get two or more people walking together across a sprawling open island. It is heavy on environmental puzzles, proximity voice chat and the kind of casual social moments — watching sunsets, stumbling across hidden spaces — that feel designed to be shared. House House describes the tools and gestures as the primary language between players, rather than a traditional HUD or mission structure.
For Singapore Switch 2 and PC players who are not on PS Plus, Big Walk will be available to buy on those platforms as well from the same date.
Signalis (PS4) — The 2022 Horror Cult Classic That Earned Its Reputation
The third game in the lineup is Signalis for PS4 — and if you have never played it, Sony just handed you a very good reason to. Developed by German two-person studio rose-engine and published by Humble Games, Signalis launched in October 2022 and became a genuine sleeper hit: a psychological survival horror set in a retro-futuristic sci-fi dystopia, drawing comparisons to early Silent Hill and Resident Evil in tone and design.
You play as Elster, a sentient android called a Replika, waking up in an abandoned underground facility and searching for a lost partner. The game layers in cosmic dread, deeply strange lore, and puzzles that refuse to hold your hand. It won Best Narrative and Best Indie Game at the Fear Fest Horror Game Awards in 2023, and has maintained a passionate community ever since.
MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls PS Plus Pack — Free From 6 August
Alongside the three monthly games, PS Plus members can claim a free MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls pack starting 6 August. The bundle includes five in-game avatars — Captain America, Storm, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom and Ghost Rider — plus 20 character result screen poses. The pack stays claimable until 6 August 2027, so there is no rush, but you do need to be a PS Plus subscriber to claim it.
How to Claim Your August PS Plus Games in Singapore
All three monthly games go live on the Singapore PlayStation Store on 4 August 2026. Head to PS Plus > Monthly Games in the Store tab or on the PlayStation app to add them to your library. You keep access to monthly games for as long as your PS Plus subscription is active — add them before the next batch arrives in September and they are yours to return to any time.
