Singapore trainers, clear your schedule for next week — Pokémon GO’s biggest 2026 celebration event kicks off on Tuesday 21 July and runs all the way through Monday 27 July. Ultra Unlock: 10th Anniversary Edition is the season’s reward for completing GO Fest 2026 Global research, bringing six days of rotating starter Pokémon, escalating catch XP that peaks at a massive 10×, the first-ever appearance of Professor Willow’s assistant Pikachu, and a paid track that leads to Shiny Shaymin. Here is everything Singapore trainers need to know before Tuesday’s 10 AM start.
All 27 Starter Pokémon Across Three Rotating Phases
The headline mechanic of Pokémon GO Ultra Unlock 10th Anniversary Edition is a three-part rotation cycling through every starter Pokémon from all nine main-series generations. Each phase lasts two days, and every first-partner Pokémon can spawn as Shiny.
- Phase 1 — 21 July (10 AM) to 23 July (10 AM): Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn starters in the wild — Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip.
- Phase 2 — 23 July (10 AM) to 25 July (10 AM): Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos starters — Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie.
- Phase 3 — 25 July (10 AM) to 27 July (8 PM): Alola, Galar, and Paldea starters — Rowlet, Litten, Popplio, Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly.
Lure Modules will also draw out Beldum, Gible, and Dreepy across all three phases — useful if you still need dragon-line Candy or Phantump-family XL. Any starter you evolve during the event will learn its generation’s signature Charged Attack: Frenzy Plant for Grass types, Blast Burn for Fire types, and Hydro Cannon for Water types. This is the first time Paldea starters — Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly — qualify for the exclusive move window, making Phase 3 weekend especially important for anyone who skipped the last evolution opportunity.
Escalating Catch XP — Up to 10× by the Final Weekend
Catch XP bonuses are tiered and ratchet up as the week progresses:
- 6× catch XP — 21 July (10 AM) to 23 July (10 AM)
- 8× catch XP — 23 July (10 AM) to 25 July (10 AM)
- 10× catch XP — 25 July (10 AM) to 27 July (8 PM)
If you are grinding towards a level-up or want to unlock a higher Mega Evolution tier, the final 48-hour window at 10× is the peak session. Drop a Lucky Egg on Saturday morning, keep a Great Ball streak going, and you can bank enormous XP in a single afternoon park walk around Singapore’s denser PokéStop areas.
Professor Willow’s Assistant Pikachu — New Costumed Pokémon Debut
A brand-new costumed Pokémon joins the GO roster for the first time during this event: Professor Willow’s assistant Pikachu, dressed in Willow’s iconic researcher look. You can find it through Field Research task completions, Timed Research rewards, snapshot surprises, and 1-Star Raids (available through 27 July at 8 PM). The Pikachu cannot evolve — standard for costumed variants — but it can appear as Shiny, and Shiny encounters may carry a team-specific Special Background based on which Valor, Mystic, or Instinct team you belong to.

GO Pass, Masterwork Research, and Raid Bosses
Every trainer automatically receives the GO Pass: 10th Anniversary on 21 July at 10 AM — a free progression track with event-themed encounters, Golden Lure Modules, and bonus items. Rewards are redeemable through 27 July at 8 PM; anything unclaimed expires on 29 July at 7:59 PM, so do not sleep on it.
Serious collectors will want the paid Masterwork Research: Glimmers of Gratitude, available for US$4.99 (regional pricing varies). Complete it to earn a Shiny Shaymin encounter. This is a long-form research story with no guaranteed same-day finish, so start early in the week. Trainers who previously purchased a Shaymin Masterwork Research are not eligible to re-purchase.
For raids, Party Hat Grimer occupies the 1-Star slot (Shiny eligible), while 3-Star bosses are Party Hat variants of Raticate, Nidorino, Gengar, and Wobbuffet. All party hat raid targets can appear with team-specific Special Backgrounds — the first opportunity for trainers to collect background-tagged legacy forms from this particular raid pool.
Event Stickers and Web Store Extras
Anniversary stickers are available from PokéStop spins, opening Gifts, and shop purchases. The Pokémon GO web store is also offering a bonus item bundle — Ultra Balls, Max Revives, a Premium Battle Pass, and Max Potions — for the event window.
