Pre-orders go live across the PlayStation Store Singapore, Steam, and the Epic Games Store when the new trailer drops on 11 August at 7 PM PT (12 August, 10 AM SGT). S-GAME has described the 11-minute showcase as covering “new story content, characters, combat, and something unexpected” — substantial enough to qualify as a proper reveal rather than a brief teaser. SGD pricing has not been announced yet and will be confirmed when pre-orders open.

From Delay to Done: A Polish Window That Closed

When we covered the June delay, S-GAME’s reasoning was straightforward: “We do not want to release Phantom Blade Zero knowing there is still an opportunity to take it one step further.” The extra two months appear to have been put to use. The studio is now calling development complete, and the October 29 window looks firm.

What Is Phantom Blade Zero?

Built on Unreal Engine 5, Phantom Blade Zero is a stamina-free action RPG set in a fictional world drawn from Chinese wuxia mythology and the Golden Age of Hong Kong action cinema. You play as Soul, an elite assassin framed for a conspiracy surrounding the murder of The Order’s patriarch, racing against a 66-day countdown in a semi-open world. Combat is built around speed and rhythm: over 30 weapons pair with more than 20 “Phantom Edges” — secondary tools that let you reshape your playstyle without a stamina meter getting in the way.

The cultural DNA is a genuine draw for Singapore and Southeast Asian players. This is a Chinese studio building the wuxia fantasy they’ve always wanted to play, not a Western interpretation of it — and that authenticity comes through in the art direction and animation.
