Singapore PS5 and PC players waiting for the full release of No Rest for the Wicked will have to wait a little longer. Moon Studios confirmed today that the action RPG’s 1.0 launch has been pushed from October 2026 to March 2027, with creative director Thomas Mahler citing the need for further polish in a video update posted to the Moon Studios YouTube channel. The delay affects the PS5 and PC releases; Xbox Series and Switch 2 versions have not yet received confirmed dates.

One More Year — Here Is Why Moon Studios Is Waiting
In his announcement, Mahler was direct about the reason: after extensive playtesting the team felt the game was “not quite there yet.” Specifically, Moon Studios wants to improve gameplay performance, tighten the class system, and push the overall level of polish to where they believe it needs to be before calling the product finished. The team described its approach as refusing to ship a game that isn’t ready, even at the cost of a longer Early Access period.
December Open Beta Before the March 2027 Launch
The roadmap between now and release includes a final open beta in December 2026, giving players a last look at the near-complete build ahead of launch. Moon Studios will continue its Wicked Inside developer diary series on YouTube in the months leading up to March 2027, keeping the community informed on what specifically is being polished. If you are an Early Access player, your save data carries over to 1.0 at launch.

PS5 and PC in March — Xbox Series and Switch 2 Dates Still Pending
The March 2027 window is confirmed for PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam). Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 versions are in development but Moon Studios has not given a separate date yet, saying those platforms will be confirmed “in the months ahead.” Singapore players on PS5 or Steam can treat March 2027 as their target window; Xbox and Switch 2 players may be waiting slightly longer.

Founders Pack Deadline Extended to January 2027
Early Access PC players get one material benefit from the delay: the cutoff date to earn the Founders Pack bonus items — which includes the Spirit Cavern hideout, the Sayer’s Vow exclusive sword, a custom Founders Tag, and permanent access to beta test realms even after 1.0 launches — has been extended from the original July deadline to 1 January 2027. Players who already purchased after July 10 are retroactively included. PS5 pre-orders, which open in January 2027, also include the pack.
No Rest for the Wicked has been in Early Access on Steam since April 2024, building a reputation for its painterly art direction and demanding combat. The full game, including the console versions, is now due March 2027. Keep an eye on GameTrader’s game news for updates as the December beta and further developer diaries roll out.
