The most anticipated stop on the Jujutsu Kaisen touring exhibition just got an opening date. Announced at Juju Fes 2026 in Yokohama over the weekend, the Gege Akutami “Jujutsu Kaisen” Final Exhibition (芥見下々「呪術廻戦」完結展) is heading to Shinjuku — the setting of the series’ climactic last battle — and it opens on 25 December 2026.
Why Shinjuku, and Why This Is the One to Visit
Shinjuku is where Gege Akutami’s manga ends. Yuji Itadori, Yuta Okkotsu, and the surviving sorcerers fought their final battle against Ryomen Sukuna in the streets of Shinjuku, and choosing it as the last venue of the exhibition tour is a deliberate closing of the circle. Akutami has drawn a brand-new illustration of Yuta and Rika specifically for this stop — the only new piece commissioned for Shinjuku — making this the most exclusive leg of the touring run.
The exhibition runs 25 December 2026 – 25 January 2027 at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Sankaku Hiroba, Tokyo. Hours are 10:00–20:00 (last entry 19:30). The venue closes on 1 January for New Year.
What the Jujutsu Kaisen Final Exhibition Shows
This is not a simple recap of the earlier touring venues. The Shinjuku edition will reveal the “deep layer” of the final arc — material that has not been on display anywhere else in the tour. Gege Akutami’s digital creation process will be presented with the author’s own commentary, giving fans a rare view of how the series was built and how its hidden threads were woven toward the ending.
The exhibition also traces JJK’s six-and-a-half-year journey from its 2018 debut in Weekly Shonen Jump through to the conclusion in September 2024. With the official exhibition site (Japanese) now live, the exhibition is being positioned as the definitive curtain call for one of the biggest manga of the 2020s.
Exclusive Goods: The Chapter 271 Acrylic Diorama
Tickets at Shinjuku come bundled with an exclusive reservation item: the “Chapter 271 — From Now On” acrylic diorama, featuring Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki side by side. One diorama per ticket. The piece is a direct callback to the manga’s final chapter, and given how it depicts a trio that JJK readers know all too well was not guaranteed to stand together at the end, demand will be strong.
Practical Guide for Singapore Fans
The Shinjuku run falls squarely within Singapore’s year-end school holidays and the standard New Year travel window — a natural overlap for anyone already planning a Japan trip in December or January. A few things to sort out early:
- Priority lottery for 25–27 December: Shonen Jump+ and Zebrac subscribers (Japanese digital apps for Weekly Shonen Jump) can enter a lottery for the opening three days. The lottery entry window is 5–18 October. If you have a Japanese subscription account, this is the fastest way to lock in those high-demand Christmas dates.
- General tickets: Date-specific timed entry for all other dates will go on sale separately. Ticket pricing has not been confirmed yet — bookmark the official site and check back in October.
- Getting there: Shinjuku Sumitomo Building is two to three minutes from Shinjuku Station’s west exit and is straightforward to reach from most central Tokyo hotels.
- No virtual option: There is no online viewing or live-stream component announced. In-person attendance is the only way to see the Shinjuku-exclusive content and pick up the diorama.
