Capcom has just announced the Monster Hunter Wilds Championship Global Exhibition, a head-to-head showdown set for September 2026 that will see the top hunters from four regional tournaments battle it out on the world stage. Better yet, you don’t have to wait until September to get in on the action — two championship challenge quests and a bundle of free cosmetic DLC dropped for all players this week.
Four Regions, One Crown
The Global Exhibition brings together the winning teams from Capcom’s official regional Monster Hunter Wilds championships held across Japan, the United States, France, and Taiwan. No exact venue or date has been confirmed beyond “September 2026,” but the format is a head-to-head timed hunt to determine the strongest squad on the planet. Think of it as the Monster Hunter World Cup — with larger claws.
While no Southeast Asian team is competing this time, Capcom is opening up the exact same challenge quests used in the event so every hunter worldwide can measure up against the pros.
Take On the Championship Quests Right Now
Two limited-time challenge quests went live on 4 August and are available to all Monster Hunter Wilds hunters on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC who have reached Hunter Rank 100 or above. Both quests take place in Wounded Hollow, and weapon choice is restricted to: Great Sword, Hammer, Heavy Bowgun, Lance, Light Bowgun, and Switch Axe.
- “What Dreams May Soar” (Quest 1) — A solo or co-op hunt against the fearsome Arch-Tempered Arkveld. This is pure, white-knuckle DPS racing in some of the most gruelling conditions the game offers.
- “What Dreams May Soar” (Quest 2) — A multi-monster gauntlet pitting you against Lagiacrus, Xu Wu, and Arch-Tempered Nu Udra simultaneously. Target prioritisation and stamina management are everything here.
These are the actual quests the four invited champion teams will be running at the live exhibition, so clearing them is the closest most of us will get to competing at that level. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to dust off your HR 100 saves, this is it.
Free DLC: Poogies, Palicoes, and a Very Fancy Car
Capcom sweetened the announcement with a set of free cosmetic DLC available right now through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Steam — no purchase required.
On the hunter side, four Rolling Poogie Pendants are on offer — the beloved pig mascot reimagined as a circus performer, balancing on a ball in a range of colourways. Pick up the Deux-Ton (clown stripes), Monochrome, Four-Seasons Flower, and Sakura designs and hang them off your weapon for maximum camp at the campfire.
There’s also the Happy-Go-Congakart Pendant — a Congalala crammed into a tiny pink car, towing a very distressed Wudwud behind it. Chaotic energy, maximum charm.
Palico mains get the Wudwud Felyne Layered Armor, dressing your cat companion up as one of the game’s resident furry shopkeepers, complete with a blue-brimmed hat and golden star accessory.

Capcom hasn’t confirmed the exhibition venue or streaming details yet, but past Monster Hunter championship events have been broadcast on the official Monster Hunter YouTube and Twitch channels with English commentary.
