The Kagurabachi anime adaptation has revealed two more members of its main cast today — and both get their own character trailers. Miku Ito joins as Hinao, the sharp-witted info-broker who keeps the story’s underworld connections running, while Miyari Nemoto voices Char Kyonagi, a plucky young girl on the run who becomes central to protagonist Chihiro Rokuhira’s next mission.
Meet Hinao and Char Kyonagi
Hinao runs Cafe Haru Haru as a front for brokering jobs between clients and sorcerers — she is essentially the information gateway between the civilian world and the underground sorcerer network. Despite her cheerful, easygoing exterior, she is sharp enough to keep that network functioning smoothly. She also took Char under her wing, introducing the young girl to Chihiro’s group.
Char Kyonagi, meanwhile, is the catalyst for the next arc. She is being hunted by people wielding what she describes as “the most strongest sword” — a detail that catches Chihiro’s attention immediately. Described as courageous despite being a child, Char’s situation pulls the main cast into their next major conflict.
The Voice Cast’s Own Words
Miku Ito, a well-regarded voice actress with a busy schedule across major anime titles, said she focused on keeping her performance “relaxed and natural,” aiming for conversational dialogue that matches the manga’s pacing. Miyari Nemoto, tasked with conveying all of Char’s emotional range in a character whose lines run short, noted feeling “a lot of pressure to express all of her emotions as honestly and concisely as possible.”

The anime is being produced by Cypic (a CyberAgent subsidiary), directed by Tetsuya Takeuchi — best known for his work on Heavenly Delusion and Hinamatsuri. Character design is handled by Keigo Sasaki.

The manga, by Takeru Hokazono and published in Weekly Shonen Jump, has passed 4 million copies in circulation. Kagurabachi premieres in April 2027.
