SNK dropped Duck King’s full gameplay trailer for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves yesterday, putting a spotlight on the hip-hop brawler’s first mainline outing in nearly three decades — and he dances onto PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam on 27 August 2026.
Back on the South Town Stage After 30 Years
Duck King last appeared in a mainline Fatal Fury title with Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 in the late 1990s — making his City of the Wolves arrival the first time the character has been truly playable in a new SNK fighting game in roughly 30 years. He started training South Town street fighter Salvatore Ganacci in his unique breakdance-fighting style, but now Duck King himself is back on the streets to settle some scores, with his signature chick P-chan perched alongside him.

What Duck King Brings to City of the Wolves
The gameplay trailer confirms that Duck King keeps his classic toolkit: Head Spin Attack and Break Storm are both back, and Break Spiral serves as one of his Gear Supers. Beyond the returning moves, he has learned some new dance sequences — including a powered-up mode that chains into a multi-step attack with different follow-up options depending on how you read the opponent. His narrative has two arcade story threads: one driven by revenge against Wolfgang Krauser, another by the more grounded goal of saving his Pao Pao Café through tournament prize money.
If you have been following Season 3 since it was announced in July, the trailer fills in the specifics that the animated teaser only hinted at — Duck King’s moveset sits somewhere between a rushdown pressure game and a stance-based offensive character, leaning on rhythm and momentum to keep opponents guessing.
Season 3 Road Map: Kim Kaphwan is Next

Duck King’s 27 August release keeps Season 3 on its monthly schedule. After him comes Kim Kaphwan in September, then a mystery character in October, Laocorn Gaudeamus in November, and one more mystery fighter to close out December. With EVO Singapore 2027 already confirmed for Marina Bay Sands in January, Singapore’s FGC will have nearly the full Season 3 roster available to explore before local tournament play heats up.
Season 3 characters are available individually or as part of the Season Pass. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is out now on Steam, PS5/PS4, and Xbox Series X|S. Find more game news on GameTrader.SG.
