Team Ninja has confirmed a release date for Minato, the gyaru-style fighter teased in Dead or Alive 6: Last Round’s June launch trailer — she’s joining the roster as paid DLC on 10 September 2026. And if you haven’t tried the free-to-play fighter yet, there’s an extra reason to do it right now: Ayane and Tamaki are unlocked for free in the Core Fighters version, but only until 19 August.

Minato’s Release Date and What We Know So Far
Minato was first revealed in concept art form when DOA6 Last Round launched in June, with design sketches showing off her gyaru-inspired costumes. The date of 10 September 2026 for her DLC release was confirmed by Team Ninja via the official @deadoralivejp account, as reported by Automaton Media.
Her in-game moveset and full gameplay reveal haven’t been shown yet. Team Ninja says those details will be announced before her release, so expect a proper character trailer to drop in the coming weeks.
Minato will be available as paid DLC on PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pricing for individual character DLC has not been announced at this time.
Ayane and Tamaki Free Until 19 August — Try Them Now
Alongside the Minato news, Team Ninja has launched a limited-time campaign giving DOA6 Last Round Core Fighters players free access to Ayane and Tamaki until 19 August. That’s this coming Tuesday — so if you want to give them a spin at no cost, time is tight.
Core Fighters is the free-to-play tier of Dead or Alive 6: Last Round, giving players access to a rotating roster without any upfront purchase. The full fighter roster is unlockable through individual character packs or a season pass.

New Marie Rose Costume DLC Also Live
Also dropping alongside the Minato announcement: Marie Rose’s “Wicked Lil’ Sunflower” costume set is now available as paid DLC in four colour variations. It’s a standalone add-on, separate from the Minato DLC, purchasable directly in-game.
