Control Resonant Launches 24 Sept — Remedy’s Biggest Game Yet

Remedy Entertainment’s paranormal sequel has a date locked in: Control Resonant drops worldwide on 24 September 2026, confirmed at Gamescom Opening Night Live alongside a striking new “Altered State” trailer set to The Prodigy’s “Omen”. For Singapore fans who loved the original Control, this is the launch calendar slot you’ve been waiting to fill.

What Is Control Resonant?

If you wrapped up Control (2019) and wondered what came next, Resonant picks up the story through Dylan Faden — Jesse’s brother — as a new Altered World Event warps Manhattan into a paranaturally twisted maze. Where the first game was set inside a brutalist federal building gone wrong, Remedy describes Resonant’s Manhattan as inspired by the real city but filtered through, in their words, “a deliciously twisted Remedy spin.”

The genre has also shifted. Dylan wields a shape-shifting melee weapon called the Aberrant alongside growing supernatural powers, and the studio has moved from Jesse’s third-person shooter roots toward hack-and-slash action RPG combat. Hands-on press described it as “a deliciously free-flowing character action RPG.”

The new “Altered State” trailer — shown at Opening Night Live on 25 August and available to watch on IGN’s YouTube — arrives just weeks before launch and leans hard on spectacle. Dylan tears through ever-warping Manhattan set-pieces, the Hiss and the Mold mutating the city in real time, with at least one boss that reshapes the environment mid-fight. The Prodigy’s “Omen” on the soundtrack is a strangely perfect fit for Remedy’s brand of surrealist action.

Mikael Kasurinen, Co-Creative Director at Remedy Entertainment, said at gamescom that Control Resonant is “the biggest game the studio has made.” The game is playable at the Level Infinite booth in Hall 6.1 throughout gamescom week — the first time it’s been publicly hands-on.

Control Resonant launches digitally on 24 September 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. A physical edition follows on 15 October. Remedy has confirmed GeForce NOW support at launch, so cloud PC players are covered from day one.

Pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition gets PS5 buyers 48 hours of early access — that’s from 22 September — plus the Hiss Corruption outfit and Pickpocket’s Tool Artifact. Standard pre-orders on any platform unlock those cosmetics without the early window. SGD pricing has not yet been confirmed; check the PlayStation Store and Steam closer to launch for local pricing.

Singapore and Southeast Asia: What to Expect

Publisher Level Infinite — Tencent’s international publishing arm, well established across Southeast Asia — is handling distribution for Control Resonant in this region. That track record means you can reasonably expect proper regional infrastructure and support. The simultaneous worldwide digital launch means Singapore players are in on day one, no regional delay to worry about.

Keep an eye on our Game News section for local pricing and any SGD pre-order deals as 24 September approaches.
