Fate Graphite and the sword Greed are coming back. Berserk of Gluttony Season 2 has been officially confirmed for a 2027 premiere, with the production team revealing that voice recording is already in progress — a strong sign that the sequel is well into production.

The confirmation came via Anime News Network on 23 August 2026, with the production team sharing a celebratory video message from Ryōta Ōsaka, the Japanese voice of protagonist Fate. Ōsaka confirmed that voice recording for Season 2 is already underway, suggesting the sequel is moving through production at pace.
This news upgrades the status from the initial April 2026 announcement — when Season 2 was first confirmed to be in development — to a concrete milestone. Tomokazu Seki, who voices the soul-devouring sword Greed, is also confirmed to return, and the announcement teased more interactions between the two lead characters.
New Characters, New Outfit — A Glimpse at Season 2
The announcement visual, which first appeared alongside the April reveal, shows Fate and Holy Knight Roxy holding hands to form the number “2.” Notably, Roxy is depicted wearing a new outfit that is “set to debut in the sequel” — a tease that her role will evolve significantly in Season 2. The visual was created by the series’ original illustrator, as reported by Anime Corner.
The source light novel series by Ichika Isshiki has surpassed 2.2 million copies in circulation across print and digital formats. Animation is once again handled by ACGT, the studio behind Season 1’s 12-episode run, which aired from October to December 2023.

A specific premiere date within 2027 has not been announced. Given that Season 1 aired on Crunchyroll in Singapore — the platform is widely available here and remains the home for most simulcast anime — Season 2 is likely to follow the same path when it eventually airs.
