League of Legends Classic is officially live as of 30 July 2026, bringing back the Summoner’s Rift experience that defined the game’s early years — 60 classic champions, the full Season 3 item system, and the original pre-rework rune and mastery pages. Riot Games has been building toward League of Legends Classic for months, and the mode is now live. It recreates the Season 3 experience in detail — the original map geometry, turret placements, and item paths that defined competitive League from 2012 to 2013.
According to Riot’s official developer blog, the team rebuilt the classic Summoner’s Rift from scratch, restoring the layout and feel that veterans spent hundreds of ranked games on before years of updates reshaped everything.
60 Champions, All Original Kits
Classic mode launches with 60 champions, each using their pre-rework, unpatched abilities as they existed in Season 3. That means Blitzcrank’s original Rocket Grab, Evelynn’s old invisibility-to-wards stealth before her visual and gameplay rework, and Nidalee’s pre-nerf javelin — all exactly as long-time players remember them.
Riot has confirmed the Classic roster will grow over time, with additional champions planned for future updates as the mode develops.
Old Runes, Old Masteries, Old Items
The full pre-overhaul rune system is back — primary and secondary trees, mastery points, and the IP (not Blue Essence) currency to purchase individual runes. If you played ranked in Season 2 or 3, you already know the setup. New players coming in fresh will experience what veterans spent hours optimising over a decade ago.
The classic item shop restores the Season 3-era catalogue — items that were progressively retired from the main game over the years and defined entire champion archetypes before balance patches replaced them.
Available Free on SEA — That’s Singapore
For Singapore players, the key detail: League of Legends Classic is live now on the Southeast Asia server at no extra cost. The SEA server covers Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. No separate download, no subscription — just select the Classic queue from the standard client and you’re in.

What Comes Next
Riot’s developer update hints at seasonal Classic-specific events, with the first drawing on Season 3 championship content.
