The live-action Legend of Zelda<\/em> movie now has a locked-in April 30, 2027 worldwide release date \u2014 and the news came straight from Shigeru Miyamoto himself, posted on Nintendo’s official X account on September 7.<\/p>\n

Miyamoto Steps In With a New Date<\/h2>\n

“This is Miyamoto. I would like to let you know that the worldwide theatrical release date for the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda<\/em> has been moved up to April 30, 2027, from May 7,” Miyamoto wrote on Nintendo’s X account<\/a>. “The team is working hard to deliver the film to everyone as soon as possible. There’s less than a year to go until release, so thank you for waiting.”<\/p>\n

The date change brings the film one week earlier than the previously announced May 7 date. The wording \u2014 “moved up” rather than delayed \u2014 is a rare piece of good news in an industry that has handed out plenty of the opposite over the past couple of years, and it signals the production is in strong shape heading into its final stretch.<\/p>\n
