After Luffy lands his strongest blow yet, Imu’s stomach stretches outward like rubber, echoing the Gomu Gomu no Mi’s most recognisable trait and raising one of the biggest lore questions in One Piece history.<\/p>\n

Triple General Gokoku Sovereignty \u2014 And Imu’s Counter<\/h2>\n

The chapter picks up immediately after Luffy, Loki and Hajrudin combined for their Triple General: Gokoku Sovereignty<\/em> assault, which sent Imu flying. Rather than staying down, Imu activates the Shield of Emptiness<\/strong> \u2014 an invisible barrier that shatters on contact, injuring Luffy’s hand the moment he reaches for his foe. Directly punching through it clearly isn’t the answer.<\/p>\n

Luffy doesn’t panic. Reading the situation fast, he devises a workaround: borrow Loki’s hammer to strike the shield from an angle and channel the force through Gomu Gomu no Dawn Thor Bullet<\/strong>. The attack connects clean, and for a moment Imu’s eyes go white \u2014 the universal sign in One Piece that a character is out cold.<\/p>\n

Usopp Refuses to Let Elbaf Fall<\/h2>\n

Chapter 1192’s most emotionally charged beat belongs to Usopp. Perched on Hajrudin’s shoulder, the Straw Hats’ sniper makes it clear that retreat is off the table: “But if they try to take away Luffy’s freedom to save Elbaf, we’ll never forgive them!!”<\/em> It is a neat callback to the giants of Little Garden who saved the Straw Hats a lifetime ago, and signals that this is not just Luffy’s fight \u2014 the whole crew has a debt to repay on Elbaf.<\/p>\n
