If you’re looking for a free anime fix before AFA arrives in November, Anime Earth<\/strong> by the Singapore Cosplay Club (SCC) \u2014 the same team behind Cosfest \u2014 is taking over City Square Mall’s Level 1 Atrium from 28 September to 4 October 2026<\/strong>. No ticket, no queue, just walk in.<\/p>\n

What Is Anime Earth?<\/h2>\n

Anime Earth is Singapore Cosplay Club’s anime and Japanese pop-culture pop-up, running as the headline community event inside City Square Mall’s wider PlayVerse: Shop, Play & Discover<\/strong> campaign (4 Sep \u2013 11 Oct 2026). SCC have been running Cosfest since 2003, making them one of Singapore’s longest-running cosplay event organisers. Anime Earth is their smaller, free-entry format \u2014 designed to bring the cosplay-convention atmosphere to everyday shoppers and families, not just dedicated fans.<\/p>\n

When, Where, and How to Get There<\/h2>\n

The event runs daily from 11am to 7:30pm, 28 September to 4 October 2026<\/strong>, at the Level 1 Atrium of City Square Mall<\/strong> (180 Kitchener Road, Singapore 208539). Admission is free<\/strong> \u2014 no tickets or pre-registration needed for general access. The easiest way to get there is via Farrer Park MRT (NE8)<\/strong>, a two-minute walk away. Two Atriums, Seven Days of Content<\/h2>\n

The event splits across two atrium spaces running different programming on different days:<\/p>\n

Atrium A<\/strong> hosts festival-themed anime and cosplay merchandise booths throughout the week. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays<\/strong>, interactive game booths join the line-up \u2014 expect the kind of mini-activities you’d find at the average Cosfest or doujin market.<\/p>\n

Atrium B<\/strong> operates on a rotating programme. From Monday to Thursday (29 Sep \u2013 2 Oct)<\/strong>, visual storytelling educator and Takahan Toy Art Museum creator Takahan Tan<\/strong> presents an art exhibition showcasing his distinctive character-driven visual work. From Friday to Sunday (3\u20134 Oct)<\/strong>, the space opens up to emerging local artists and creators.<\/p>\n

Free Drawing Workshops (3 & 4 October)<\/h2>\n

The weekend of 3\u20134 October also brings complimentary drawing workshops<\/strong> with two sessions each day \u2014 2pm to 3pm and 4pm to 5pm<\/strong>. Registration is free; you can sign up via the form on www.anime-earth.com<\/a>. Spaces are limited so register early if you or a younger family member want a spot.<\/p>\n

It’s a genuinely low-barrier weekend plan for Singapore anime fans \u2014 free entry, a short MRT ride from the city, and programming that shifts across the week so there’s reason to come back more than once.
