The <strong>LEGO PlayStation (72306)<\/strong> goes on sale from 4 October 2026 \u2014 and it&#8217;s far more than a decorative grey box.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.gametrader.sg\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/lego-ps1-lifestyle-on-table.jpg?w=474&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"LEGO PlayStation 72306 set with LEGO controller and memory card on a blue display surface\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"><figcaption>Image courtesy of Sony Interactive Entertainment<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>A Near 1:1 LEGO PlayStation Build<\/h2>\n<p>The set measures 6&nbsp;cm high, 26&nbsp;cm wide, and 19&nbsp;cm deep \u2014 proportions close enough to the original that anyone who owned a PS1 will feel an instant jolt of recognition. The Power and Open buttons actually function, the disc lid lifts exactly as it did on the real machine, and the buildable wired controller plugs in with its four iconic face buttons recreated in brick form. Lift it open and two mini dioramas are built inside the console body: a <em>Gran Turismo<\/em> (1997) scene with tiny racing cars on a miniature track, and an <em>Ape Escape<\/em> (1999) jungle tableau featuring the game&#8217;s signature monkey character. LEGO Insiders members get early access from <strong>1 October 2026<\/strong>; general availability follows on <strong>4 October 2026<\/strong> via LEGO.com, direct.playstation.com, and select local retailers.
