Level-5 is holding its second big showcase of the year this Thursday, and the timing could not be kinder to Singapore viewers \u2014 the LEVEL5 VISION 2026 II<\/strong> stream kicks off at 9PM SGT on 10 September<\/strong>, right in the middle of prime time. After April’s showcase whetted appetites with its first real look at several long-awaited titles, this follow-up presentation \u2014 subtitled Dream<\/em> (\u5922) \u2014 is expected to bring substantially more detail on the games Level-5 is planning to ship before the year is out.<\/p>\n

What Is LEVEL5 VISION 2026 II?<\/h2>\n

LEVEL5 VISION is the studio’s direct-style showcase format, used to update fans on everything in the pipeline rather than relying solely on third-party events. The first 2026 edition ran in April and delivered reveals for Snack World: Reloaded<\/em> and new footage of Professor Layton and the New World of Steam<\/em>. This second edition is subtitled Dream<\/em> \u2014 the large-brushstroke kanji \u5922 on the key art \u2014 suggesting a focus on the studio’s flagship creative projects rather than smaller mobile or licensing titles.<\/p>\n

Professor Layton and the New World of Steam \u2014 Hoping for a Release Date<\/h2>\n

The most anticipated title in Level-5’s current lineup is Professor Layton and the New World of Steam<\/em>, the eighth mainline entry in the puzzle-adventure series and the first in more than a decade. Set one year after The Unwound Future<\/em>, the story moves to Steam Bison \u2014 a booming American city powered entirely by revolutionary steam technology that has overtaken even London. Professor Hershel Layton and a now-teenage Luke Triton (rechristened “Detective Luke” in the US) find themselves tangled in a fresh mystery in this strange new world.<\/p>\n

The game targets Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam), and Level-5 confirmed at the April showcase that development is on track for a late-2026 release<\/a>. What the April show did not provide was an exact date \u2014 the one thing fans are most hoping VISION 2026 II will finally nail down. We covered the initial reveal back in July<\/a> when the game’s soundtrack collaboration between legendary Ghibli composer Joe Hisaishi and YOASOBI vocalist Lilas Ikuta was confirmed \u2014 a pairing that has only stoked excitement further.<\/p>\n
