Capcom has started a daily trailer countdown for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance<\/em> \u2014 the major expansion due in 2027 \u2014 timing the reveals to build momentum ahead of the first playable hands-on at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which runs 17\u201321 September at Makuhari Messe, Tokyo.<\/p>\n

What Is the Boost Bracer?<\/h2>\n

The centrepiece of today’s reveal is the Boost Bracer<\/strong>, a brand-new hunting mechanic that gives every one of the game’s 14 weapon types its own dedicated “Boosted Action”. The loop is straightforward: stay aggressive and land hits to build Boost Bracer energy, then fire off a Boost Driver attack \u2014 unique to each weapon \u2014 to activate your weapon’s special ability. According to Capcom’s official X post<\/a>, the goal is to expand hunter options without overhauling the core combat identity.<\/p>\n
