Patch 3.2 expands each Arisen’s save slots from one to three, with every slot now holding three separate save types: Autosave, Interim Save, and Last Inn Rest Save. Loading from an inn rest save no longer wipes other saves, and the story opening can now be skipped entirely on repeat playthroughs.

The update also delivers a long-awaited remedy for Dragonsplague — the in-game infection that previously had no fix short of drowning an afflicted Pawn. Capcom has introduced the Dragonsbaulk Draught, a craftable item that clears the condition outright and removes a significant anxiety spike from day-to-day Pawn management.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen – Announcement Trailer — via Capcom USA on YouTube

Expanded Combat — Six Skills, Better Pawns

Combat flexibility gets a meaningful bump. Assignable weapon skills jump from four to six, giving every vocation significantly more build variety in the field. Mage and Sorcerer vocations receive a new Magick Barrier core skill, while unarmed fighters gain dedicated Dash Attack and Charge Attack moves. Trickster players also get a new Buoyant Brume core skill, rounding out a comprehensive vocation balance pass.

Pawns received a notable AI overhaul: they will now grapple enemies, step in to shield a downed Arisen, and string better follow-up attacks. Two new Pawn commands — Explore and High Five! — add to the team dynamic, with the explore command sending Pawns to scout the surrounding area independently.

Performance Overhaul Across PS5, Xbox and PC

The patch weighs in at 48 GB on PS5 and 60 GB on Steam — effectively a rewrite of the game’s engine. The result is improved framerate and stability across all platforms. The UI gets quality-of-life love too: equipment now supports filters and a favourites list, material previews for gear enhancement are in place so you can plan upgrades without tab-hopping, and a toggleable grab-hold indicator makes it clearer when your character has latched onto a large enemy.

PC players additionally gain a new suite of granular graphics settings covering volumetric fog, ray tracing intensity, foliage density, and more — useful for fine-tuning performance on lower-spec machines ahead of the expansion’s arrival.

Dark Arisen Lands 9 October — What Singapore Players Need to Know

Patch 3.2 is the foundation Capcom is building on before Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen launches on 9 October 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Singapore PS5 players can download Patch 3.2 right now via PSN at no cost; Dark Arisen is a paid expansion with SGD pricing to be confirmed closer to its release.

With the save-slot problem resolved and Dragonsplague finally curable, Patch 3.2 reads as Capcom’s invitation for lapsed players to return before the expansion kicks off.
