After more than five years in early access, Valheim is crossing the finish line. Iron Gate AB has confirmed that version 1.0 launches on 9 September 2026<\/strong>, bringing the game’s eighth and final planned biome \u2014 the frozen Deep North \u2014 alongside brand-new PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 versions. For Singapore gamers who have been watching from the sidelines because Valheim was PC-only, the wait ends next Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Five Years in the Making \u2014 Valheim’s Final Chapter<\/h2>\n

Valheim launched on Steam Early Access in February 2021 and quickly became a phenomenon, selling two million copies by May 2026 and building one of PC gaming’s most dedicated survival communities. Developer Iron Gate AB and publisher Coffee Stain Publishing have steadily expanded the world through biomes like the Plains, Mistlands, and Ashlands \u2014 each packed with new enemies, building materials, and progression. The Deep North is the last piece of that puzzle, and 1.0 marks the moment Iron Gate considers the game complete.<\/p>\n

No price change has been announced for the 1.0 release. The game remains available on Steam at its standard early-access price; PS5 and Switch 2 pricing will be listed on the PlayStation Store (Singapore) and Nintendo eShop respectively from launch day.<\/p>\n

The Deep North is Valheim’s coldest and most punishing environment: sprawling snowfields, glacial mesas, and abandoned Viking settlements waiting to be picked through. Three new enemy types call it home. Gammeltrolls<\/strong> are massive troll variants that hurl entire tree trunks; Elakingar<\/strong> are unsettling underground rodent creatures that swarm from beneath the snow; and Viking ghosts haunt the ruins scattered across the landscape.<\/p>\n

Surviving \u2014 and eventually thriving \u2014 in the Deep North means climbing through three new armor tiers and mastering new weapons: Nord-style axes, two-handed swords, bows, a Frostfire crossbow<\/strong>, and a grappling hook that opens up vertical exploration in a way no previous biome has. Two dungeon types await exploration: the Winding Tunnels and the Gates of Mokhalla, both promising the kind of loot and lore drops that Valheim fans live for.<\/p>\n
