What Actually Happened at TI2026<\/h2>\n

First, the confirmed facts. Team Spirit defeated TEAM VISION 3-2 in a five-game grand final thriller at Shanghai’s Oriental Sports Center, becoming the game’s first-ever three-time world champions. Carry player Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk and offlaner Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov are now the first Dota 2 players to claim three Aegis of Champions each, having previously taken the title in 2021 and 2023. The broadcast peaked at 1.79 million concurrent viewers \u2014 a strong number for a format that has seen its total prize pool shift in recent years.<\/p>\n

Traditionally, Valve announces the following year’s host city and venue on the final day of the current TI. That did not happen at TI15.
