Science SARU\u2019s The Ghost in the Shell<\/em> anime is in its final stretch \u2014 and today, 24 August 2026, the series adds a new chapter to its music story. The image song \u201cpo-ai feat. Mirai Moriyama\u201d<\/strong> has been released as a digital single, accompanied by a special promotion video directed by series director MOKOCHAN. Singapore fans can catch it on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music from 9 September 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The track was composed, arranged, and written by Taisei Iwasaki<\/strong>, who serves as the series\u2019 music director and main composer throughout the run. Vocals are provided by Mirai Moriyama<\/strong>, a Kobe-born dancer and stage actor with an unconventional presence that feels right for this franchise\u2019s cerebral, body-questioning world.<\/p>\n

\u201cpo-ai\u201d isn\u2019t a surprise addition: it already served as the ending theme for the full-length feature footage<\/strong> shown at advance screenings overseas, including the series\u2019 world premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival<\/a> in France earlier this year. For Singapore fans who may have caught clips or reactions from Annecy, this is the track that played out those screenings.<\/p>\n
